Van Marcus Eliminated in 3rd Place

Van Marcus - 3rd Place
Van Marcus - 3rd Place
Blinds are high. Van Marcus picked a hand and went with it. When Martin Rowe opened the pot for 6,000, Marcus jammed from the big blind. Rowe quickly called.

Rowe: {A-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}
Marcus: {K-Spades} {J-Diamonds}

The {5-Spades} {9-Spades} {A-Spades} flop hit both players, making top pair for Rowe and the nut flush draw for Marcus. The draw never came -- not surprising, since Marcus used up about a year's worth of good draws en route to winning APPT Manila. He was eliminated on the bubble after the turn and river fell {3-Diamonds} and {2-Hearts}.

As a result, Vanessa Rousso's and Rowe's charities are guaranteed to receive a donation.

Bubble Time!

With play down to three-handed we are officially on the bubble.

Here is a quick recap of the remaining players charities:
Van Marcus - Child Fun
Martin Rowe - Save The Children
Vanessa Rousso - No Limit/No Profit Inititive

With a total of $50,000 being donated to charity on behalf of PokerStars.net, it seems that one way or another the children are going to benefit.

Marcus Takes Another From Rousso

With both the blinds seeing a cheap flop of {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{K-Hearts} Vanessa Rousso led for 2,000 and was met with an insta-call from Van Marcus. The turn landed the {A-Diamonds} and Rousso continued with a bet of 3,000, and again Marcus made the call.

The river fell the {Q-Diamonds} and both players checked with Rousso tabling {6-Spades}{5-Spades} for bottom pair which wasn't enough for the pot as Marcus tabled {k-Spades}{7-Clubs} to move up to 31,000 in chips.

Eddy Sabat Eliminated in 4th Place

Eddy Sabat - 4th Place
Eddy Sabat - 4th Place
We're down to three. Vanessa Rousso opened the pot for 4,000. Eddy Sabat moved all in over the top of her. Rousso snap called

Sabat: {A-Clubs} {3-Clubs}
Rousso: {4-Spades} {4-Clubs}

"How do you snap with fours?" Martin Rowe asked her.

"He has no chips," Rousso replied. The board helped neither player, {10-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {K-Spades} {K-Clubs}, to send Sabat to the rail.

Rousso Makes Bad Read

Vanessa Rousso opened to 4,000 from under-the-gun, and with the action on Van Marcus he sat there for over a minute before sliding his remaining 19,200 into the middle.

With the blinds out of the way, Rousso lined up the call amount and started chatting away to Marcus, "You did that whole I'm disappointed with my hand face, but I'm all-in thing".

Marcus nodded his head accordingly before Rousso open-mucked {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. As Rousso pleaded to Marcus to table his hand he mucked his cards and stated, "You had me crushed 80-20" as Marcus moves up to 27,000 in chips.

Rousso Gets Her Double

"Run so good," lamented Vanessa Rousso as she turned over {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} against Martin Rowe's {A-Spades} {K-Spades}. "I can suck out." Suck out she did, hitting a queen on the river of a board that came {A-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {5-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}. Rowe slipped to 26,000 while Rousso is up to about 32,000.

Rousso, Rowe Chop It Up

Martin Rowe has been raising Vanessa Rousso every time she is in the big blind. He did it again, opening for 4,000. Rousso snap-shoved for 15,300 and was called.

Rowe: {K-Diamonds} {10-Spades}
Rousso: {K-Hearts} {J-Clubs}

Rousso was in great shape to double up, but wound up with a chop when the board came {Q-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {7-Spades} {K-Clubs} to give both players two pair with a queen kicker.
