Expected to take more than the intended seven levels of play, the following players are best placed to make a run at leading the end-of-day counts.

Local player and tournament circuit regular Daniel Neilson is the man everybody is chasing after amassing a 164,100-chip stack; and if things continue in this way, he top off his sensation year that includes the PokerNetwork Player of the Year for his three wins (including a main event and high rollers victory) and twelve other final table finishes.

Team PokerStars Pros Daniel Negreanu, Lee Nelson and Joe Hachem are still in the field, while Aussie Millions Champions Tyron Krost and Stewart Scott, as well as previous winners Martin Rowe and Grant Levy still remain in contention for a shot at the AU$459,510 first prize.

All in fest is on the way!

The cards are now in the air for Day 2.

Kicking off with blinds at 500-1,000, the only difference with todays play is that the level has been extended from sixty-minute to seventy-five minute levels.

Huynh Doubles Short Stack

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Facing an all in from the button, Danny Huynh made the call from the button for a only a few hundred more.

Huynh: {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Opponent: {Q-Spades}{4-Spades}

The {Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop gave his opponent the lead, but the {J-Hearts} on the turn saw Huynh soar out front with a straight.

Unfortunately the dealer dropped the {9-Spades} on the river to ensure Huynh's opponent was pushed the pot with his full house.

Rowe Exits

Martin Rowe from Day 1
Martin Rowe from Day 1

2008 Champion Martin Rowe and Edi Harbas found themselves all in against Cale Callaway.

Rowe: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Harbas: {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Callaway: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

With Callaway waking up with a pair in the small blind, the board was spread {2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}, to see both Harbas and Rowe sent to the rail as Callaway climbs to 75,000 in chips.

Nelson KO'd

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Lee Nelson
Lee Nelson

On a flop of {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, two players found themselves all in against Ali Khalil.

Khalil: {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Nelson: {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

With Khalil holding the best of it, and Nelson needing a small miracle to stay alive, it would the third opponent in the hand striking gold on the turn when the dealer dropped the {J-Clubs}.

With only a king or queen saving Nelson, and a seven for Khalil seeing him eliminate two players, the {5-Hearts} on the river would end Nelson's tournament while seeing Khalil clipped to 60,000 in chips.

Saab Slips

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

On a flop of {Q-Spades}{K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, David Saab called an opponent's all in following some heavy action pre and post flop.

Saab: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Opponent: {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

The turn and river landed the {5-Spades} and {9-Diamonds} to see Saab unable to improve and consequently slip to around 40,000 in chips.
