Third Time Not the Charm for Gu

Huidong Gu entered for the third time in today's High Roller but the result was the same. Elimination!

This time he was unlucky since he was found in the losing part of a big cooler. The board was showing , and there were three players in the pot with the flop bringing checks by all of them.

In the turn, Gu bet 4,000 and both his opponents called.

The completed the board on the river and Gu bet 15,000 this time. His first opponent folded but the second one used a time bank chip before announcing all in, covering Gu's stack. Gu used a time bank too, but called eventually showing for a rivered flush. Unfortunately for him, his opponent rivered a bigger flush with and Gu is out for the third time today.

Chen Runs Good in Korea

China's Jiang Chen runs good in Korea. The last time Chen played at an APPT Series, back during April's APPT Korea, he finished runner up to Super High Roller champion Michael Soyza for a cool KRW 128,432,000 ($112,834), before immediately following it up with a fourth-place finish in the APPT Korea Main Event for another KRW 58,150,000 ($51,088).

With live tournament winnings of over $800,000, Chen is currently occupying the top spot on the chip leader board and looks like he means business, seemingly keen to get the win this time around.

Huidong Gu just busted for the second time today. He shoved his last 8,500 from the button after two limps, one from under-the-gun and one from the cutoff. The utg player called the all in and the second limper folded.

Gu opened and was behing his opponent's . The board came and Gu busted for the second time today.

We are getting close to the third and last break for today, with 29 entries and 20 players left in the field.

Another Big Hand, Another Bust-Out

Junjien Wang has won a nice streak of big pots, and after his previous double-up, he busted a player. In the last hand, we reached the table on the turn, with the board reading and Wang bet 11,200. His opponent was Chunqing Wang and he decided to call.

The completed the board on the river and Junjien Wang announced all in after Chunqing Wang's check. After some deliberation he called and showed only an ace from his cards, after Junjien Wang opened for two pair.

What is good in poker after a big bluff? A big value hand! That's what happened with Junjie Wang, who is the player who bluffed Huidong Gu earlier.

A couple of hands later, he was up against Ye Wang, with the action picked up on the river, with the board reading . The pot was around 20,000 and Junjie Wang was all in for 45,000 chips, an overbet more than two-times the pot.

Ye Wang had a really tough decision to make, judging from his reactions, and he even used two time-banks to decide. Finally, he made the call, but it wasn't correct since Junije Wang opened for a jack-high flush.
