Aces Cracked for Huidong Gu

Level 1 : 100/200, 0 ante
Huidong Gu
Huidong Gu

The biggest pot of the first level involved some aces getting cracked, although the player holding them didn't lose all his stack. The board was reading {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and there was a bet and a call on the flop for Junjie Wang, versus Huidong Gu's raise.

The turn was checked by both players and the river prompt Gu to bet 18,000 with aces, while Wang called with {9-}{10-}, holding a flopped two pair.

Super High Roller Cancelled and Replaced With High Roller

The event's schedule has been finalized after discussions between the tournament's officials. This means that the Super High Roller is cancelled, and it will be replaced from a High Roller event with a ₩6,000,000 (~$5,200) buy-in. The new event will have the exact same structure as the two scheduled upcoming APPT High Roller - Shot Clock Events #8 and #16, and players will start with four 30-second time bank chips.

The new event will have 40-minute levels instead of the 60-minute levels of the original event, while the players will begin with 50,000 chips with the blinds adjusted, as they are the same with the final High Roller that is in the schedule. The start time is 6:00 p.m. so we are about half an hour away from the action. Today we will play nine 40-minute levels, and the event offers unlimited reentries to the players until the start of Day 2, tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. This will be a two-day event and the first champion of 2019 APPT Jeju will be crowned tomorrow.

Players are already registering for the new High Roller event, which means that this time we will see cards in the air and chips changing hands!

Small Delay

We have a small delay on today's play as the Super High Roller will be decided in 4:00 p.m. if it will start or not. If not, then Day 1 will take place tomorrow at the same starting time.

Day 1a of the National event has been already pushed for tomorrow, and it will take place at 12:00 p.m., while Day 1b has been scheduled for 7:00 p.m, both on the same day.

Stay tuned for all the details regarding today's events.

The time for the 2019 Asia Pacific Poker Tour Jeju has come and everything is ready for the festival to begin, here in Shinhwa World's Landing Casino. It all starts today, with Day 1 of the ₩15,000,000 Super High Roller (~$12,940) and Day 1a of the ₩1,500,000 National (~$1,290), plus a side event and a satellite.

The players can re-enter unlimited number of times during Day 1, and the registration will close in the first level of Day 2.

Each player will have to work his way to the next day with a starting stack of 250,000 chips and the Super High Roller will implement the feature of a shot clock, meaning that each player will have 30 seconds to act during his turn. If a player is facing a tough decision, he can extend his time using one or all of the four 30-second time bank chips he will receive during Day 1. For those who advance to Day 2, they will receive two more time banks and another two are added in the final day of play.
