Double For Delaney

Ben Delaney has doubled through Jim Ghobrial. All of the chips went in the middle preflop, with Ghobrial holding {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for the lead against Delaney's {A-Spades}{6-Hearts}.

Needing an ace to stay alive, Delaney enjoyed the {5-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{A-Clubs} flop to take over the lead. The turn was the {9-Hearts} and river the {2-Clubs}.

Delaney doubled to 24,000 and Ghobrial slipped to 33,000.

Forman-Todd Eliminates Thomas

Barney Thomas has run into the giant-killing Steve Forman-Todd, who in back-to-back hands has sent Thomas to the rail.

In the final hand, Thomas found his chips in the middle with {K-Spades}{J-Hearts} against Forman-Todd's {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Needing some help to stay alive, the board missed him when it fell {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.

Forman-Todd now surges up to 35,000 to be amongst our chip leaders.

Some of that Old Steicke Magic

David Steicke can see into your soul.
David Steicke can see into your soul.
David Steicke doesn't always need to read souls. Some times his hands just play themselves. On a flop of {K-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {6-Spades}, Steicke checked after the big blind checked. A third player in the hand opened for 1,600, bringing the action back to the big blind, who moved all in for about 7,000. Steicke made the call, immediately folding the third player in the hand.

Steicke: {6-Diamonds} {6-Clubs}
Big Blind: {2-Hearts} {3-Hearts}

Steicke's set was a big favorite against the big blind's flush draw and won the hand after the turn and river came {5-Spades} and {A-Diamonds}. Steicke is up to 25,000 as a result.

Rochford Chips Up at Bach's Expense

David Bach came along with Paul Rochford for a few streets. He called a preflop raise to 1,400, then called a bet of 2,500 on the {K-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} flop. When the turn came {7-Spades}, Rochford made it 5,000 to go. That was a bet that Bach decided he couldn't call.

Rochford is among the chip leaders with 37,000. Bach has slipped to 9,000.

A Table of Chip Leaders

Even though he just lost a pot while holding {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs} against his opponent's {Q-Diamonds}{3-Spades} on a board reading {9-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, Michael Kroger still remains the tournament chip leader with a little over 33,000 in chips.

Most of his chips came at the hands of early chip leader Andrew Oataway, who was sent to the rail earlier. Kroger is also seated with another early chip leader, Barney Thomas, who is still looking strong with a little over 14,000.

Don't Steal My Blinds

The final two hands of the level saw the player in the cutoff position raise it up while Tony G was in the blinds. He was having none of it, and moved all in both times to take down the pot.

Guoga will head to the break on 7,100.
