David Bach Leads Tomorrow's Final Table

David Bach will carry the chip lead into tomorrow's final table
David Bach will carry the chip lead into tomorrow's final table
A discussion took place between players after the final table was reached, as some players wanted to play on, while some wanted to come back tomorrow. It was proposed by the tournament director to compromise and play down to our final six players, though that proposal didn't seem to please anyone.

Instead, it was decided to call it a night and come back tomorrow at 4pm local time for the conclusion of this event.

With the elimination of Van Tran, David Bach will carry the chip lead into the final table tomorrow. Here's the redraw and full chip counts:

Seat 1: Rainer Quel - 51,500
Seat 2: Nathan Snow - 62,700
Seat 3: Sandra Propper - 54,800
Seat 4: Lee Nelson - 78,200
Seat 5: [Removed:248] - 106,500
Seat 6: David Bach - 122,000
Seat 7: Nino Ascenzio - 94,700
Seat 8: Kenny Ng - 98,000
Seat 9: David Morton - 51,200

Join us tomorrow for our continued coverage, where we will crown a new Aussie Millions Gold Ring winner! See you then!

Bubble Bursts as Van Tran is Eliminated

Van Tran Eliminated
Van Tran Eliminated
Our bubble has burst and the unfortunate bubble boy was Van Tran. After David Bach opened with a pot-sized raise, Tran moved all in for an additional 18,000. Bach did some math before apologetically announcing, "I have to call."

Bach: {A-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Tran: {J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{K-Spades}

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Bach made a straight to eliminate Tran from the tournament. With that elimination, our final table is now set!

Morton Dodges Bullets

[Removed:248] raised the pot and David Morton re-potted. The table folded back to Freymann, who immediately announced "re-pot" and stared down his opponent.

Morton gave a wry smile before folding and flashing {K-?}{k-?}{A-?}{10-?} for a pair of kings with an ace. It was a great fold on the bubble, as Freymann flashed {A-?}{A-?}{J-?}{6-?} for a pair of aces!

Nelson Doubles Through Tran

Lee Nelson has doubled up on the final table bubble. Nelson and Van Tran went to war preflop, with Nelson's tournament on the line.

Nelson: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Tran: {K-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, and Nelson doubled to leave Tran on the short stack.

"I guess that's how you made all those final tables!" quipped Nathan Show as Nelson raked in 75,000 worth of chips.

Final Table Bubble

The two tables are now playing five-handed and are hand-for-hand as we've reached the bubble of the final table, as well as the money. The next player eliminated will go home empty handed, while the remaining nine are guaranteed AU$2,400.

Marcus Crippled, Then Eliminated

Van Marcus Eliminated

Van Marcus was crippled after a preflop raising war with Rainer Quel.

Marcus: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Quel: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{J-Clubs}, and after the chips were cut down it was determined that Marcus was left with just 1,700 chips. Those chips went into the middle on the next hand and Marcus was eliminated after Nathan Snow made a full house.

Kouvidis Heads Bach Home

George Kouvidis Eliminated
George Kouvidis Eliminated
George Kouvidis has been eliminated at the hands of David Bach. In a raised pot, the two took a flop of {5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and all the chips went into the middle.

Kouvidis tabled {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{Q-Spades}, but Bach held {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades} for trip tens. The turn was the {3-Hearts} and river the {4-Diamonds} and Kouvidis was sent to the rail. Bach is now up to 110,000.

Freymann Eliminates Dunwoodie

[Removed:248] has eliminated Sean Dunwoodie from today's event. Dunwoodie was prominent in the chip counts throughout the day, but ultimately met his match on a board of {J-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}.

Dunwoodie showed {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-?}{6-?}, but couldn't get past Freymann's {4-Spades}{A-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{K-Spades} for a set of fours. Dunwoodie is out and Freymann is now up to 80,000 chips.
