Callaghan Cruising

Our early chip leader Tim Depater has been sent to the rail by Dave Callaghan, who is now a clear leader as we approach the final three tables.

The chips were all in on a flop of {10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, with Callaghan spiking a set of tens holding {7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs} as Depater was in trouble with {A-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{K-Spades}.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and river the {9-Diamonds}, and Callaghan is now out to 73,000 chips.

Quel Sends Two to the Rail

Rainer Quel has eliminated two players in one hand after making a running flush. When we arrived at the table, the cards were spread with the board reading {2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}.

Quel held {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for the nut flush to crack the {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} and {10-Spades}{K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} of his two opponents.

Quel is up to 36,000 chips.

Morton Misses Royal but Doubles Anyway

In a raised pot on a flop of {J-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, David Morton moved all in for his last 8,000 chips. Sean Dunwoodie made a quick call.

Morton revealed {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for a straight draw and flush with a royal draw, as Dunwoodie was in trouble with {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for top two pair.

The turn was the {A-Spades} and river the {4-Spades}. Morton doubled to 20,000 while Dunwoodie is still in good shape with around 40,000.

Bach Triples

After a raise from middle position, David Bach moved all in and found two callers. The flop arrived {10-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and the small blind shoved all in to force a heads-up showdown.

The small blind player showed {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, but was trailing the {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} of Bach. The turn was the {8-Clubs} and river the {9-Hearts} and Bach more than triples up to 27,000 chips.

Waggoner Eliminated

A short-stacked Marsha Waggoner moved her last 3,800 all in on a flop of {4-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. She held {Q-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for top pair and the lead as her opponent Sean Dunwoodie made the call. However, Dunwoodie tabled {6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for multiple straight and flush draws.

The {A-Diamonds} fell on the turn to complete the flush for Dunwoodie and the {4-Spades} on the river left Waggoner heading for the rail.
