Graham Strikes Gold Again!

In a massive three-way pot on table 50, Tony Hachem raised all in preflop, only to see the opponent on the button and Jarred Graham call from the big blind to take a flop of {8-Spades}

.

Graham shipped the rest of his stack into the middle; the button player snap-called.

Button: {a-Spades}

Graham:

Hachem:

"Yes, I'm ahead!" cried Hachem. He then stood up and leaned over the table, slamming it with his palm and yelled, "Okay dealer, I wanna see brick-brick!"

The dealer produced the {2-Hearts}

on the turn. "That's good, now just one more!" Hachem said.

BOOM - down came the {9-Hearts}

on the river to give Graham the pot.

Hachem was done for already, but after the chips were cut down between Graham and the button, Graham had him covered too - a double KO.

Graham is now up to 74,000 after that hand.

The PokerNews crew were privileged enough to attend the Crown Aussie Millions Welcome Party during the extended dinner break.

Apart from a chance to socialize with the industry off the felt, we had the pleasure of witnessing the induction ceremony for the newest member of the Australian Poker Hall of Fame, led by Australian Poker Hall of Fame Founder and Inductee, Maurie "The Master" Pears.

The Australian Poker Hall of Fame Inductee for 2010 was "voted in unanimously by all members," Pears said.

This year's Inductee has been an avid supporter of poker for over 40 years, despite having spent most of her life in the United States. However, when her countrymen came over to play, she would welcome them in open arms.

Her record is impressive too: 20 WSOP cashes since 1992, as well as a third-place finish in the WPT Ladies Night event during the 2005 Legends of Poker in Los Angeles - all part of an impressive CV that adds up to over USD $830,000 in tournament winnings since 1988.

The Australian Poker Hall of Fame Inductee for 2010 is Marsha Waggoner.

However, there was one more announcement to be made - an announcement that "we (the Committee) thought we wouldn't make for years," said Pears.

That is, until the poker world watched him achieve an incredible feat.

A unique feature of the Australian Poker Hall of Fame is that previous Inductees are eligible to be elevated to Legend status, should they meet the criteria of outstanding ability and a worthy contribution to the game of poker.

Since playing the game in his early teens, this Legend has traveled the world seeking out the world's biggest cash games. His combined tournament winnings total over USD $4,000,000 since 1995.

His WSOP record is also the best in this country - 31 cashes and four bracelets, including three in the 2009 series (all in Seven-Card Stud disciplines), earning him the coveted WSOP Player of the Year title.

The 2010 Australian Poker Hall of Fame Legend is none other than the 'Iceman', Jeffrey Lisandro.

PokerNews congratulates both Marsha and Jeffrey on their achievements, they are indeed worthy candidates and deserve such recognition in this country.

Russell Doubles Through Hachem

Michael Russell has found a double up with his short stack just in the nick of time. His opponent was Tony Hachem who raised it up from early position and was then priced in to call the all-in shove of Russell from the small blind.

Russell revealed {Q-Clubs}

as Hachem would need help with his {7-Hearts}

. The flop gave Hachem some outs but the board bricked out {4-Spades}

giving Russell the double up as Hachem was left with around 8,000 chips.

Drove the Sherrie to the Levy, But the Levy's Not Dry

Sherrie Gelberg has just managed to double up through Grant Levy after she moved all in from UTG+1 for 6,875 holding {a-Spades}

and found herself flipping for her tournament life against Levy's {7-Spades}

saw her take the lead and she all but sealed it when the {a-Hearts}

spiked on the turn.

No two-outer heartbreak this time: the river {5-Spades}

blanked on the river, doubling Gelberg up to around 14,000 in chips.

Graham Gets Green

An opponent under the gun limped in and the action folded around to Jarred Graham who raised to 1,500 from the button.

The small blind folded and Tony Green moved all in for 5,375 from the big blind. The UTG opponent called, but then Graham four-bet-shoved for 11,600. The opponent called.
