Day 5 Completed

Play Halted Until 16:00 p.m. EDT (Midnight EST on Saturday)

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 10,000 ante

Last year, the Aussie Millions Main Event final table finished in record time, but it seems this year things have swung the other way. After nearly 15 hours of play, the decision has been made to suspend play until 16:00 p.m. local time, which will give allow the players and TV crew to rest up for ten hours.

The remaining three players will return then to battle it out for the AU$1.6 million first-place prize. The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will also be back then to bring you all the updates on the way to crowning an Aussie Millions champion, so be sure to join us then.

While you wait for our return, why not learn something new about Patrik Antonius in this episode of Calling the Clock:

Tournament Update

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 10,000 ante

While it's not official yet, word has it that the final table, which has been going on for approximately 14 hours now, may be halted at the end of the level and recommence tomorrow afternoon. That's not a sure thing at the moment, but it appears contractual obligations regarding the TV crew may be attributed for the impromptu hiatus.

The idea will be revisited at the end of the level.

Antonius Folds

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 10,000 ante

Joseph Cabret raised to 240,000 on the button, Patrik Antonius called in the big blind, and the dealer spread {9-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{2-Spades}. Both players knuckled.

The turn brought the {6-Clubs}, Antonius led out for 275,000, and Cabret called.

The {3-Hearts} completed the board, Antonius checked, and Cabret fired 450,000. Antonius stared at his opponent for 20 seconds or so, then folded.
