Demicki Back in the Lead; Break

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Both players agreed to a short five-minute break and Daniel Demicki won the last two hands. In the first one, a raise to 36,000 preflop was called by Daniel Sequenzia and he check-called a bet of 25,000 on the {2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop. On the {6-Diamonds} turn, Sequenzia check-called a bet of 65,000 and then faced a third barrel for 130,000 when the {J-Spades} river fell.

Sequenzia eventually gave up and mucked the {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for kings and a busted flush draw. The Aussie gave up the next hand on the turn and both headed into the break.

"Keep Doing What You Are Doing"

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

The Aussie rail applauded once again after Daniel Sequenzia took down a pot with sheer aggression on the flop, the previous bigger pot also went to Sequenzia as well and he took the chip lead from Daniel Demicki. "Keep doing what you are doing," Sam Higgs shouted from the rail to encourage his countryman.

Fabian Geisel Eliminated in 3rd Place (AU$43,990)

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Fabian Geisel
Fabian Geisel

Daniel Demicki limped in from the small blind and Fabian Geisel checked his option. On the flop {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, Demicki bet 12,000 and Geisel called before Demicki then check-raised the {3-Spades} turn. Geisel had committed a pot-sized bet and called off to put himself at risk.

Geisel: {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Demicki: {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

The {9-Diamonds} river was a blank and that sent the pot to Demicki, busting Geisel as a result in third place.

Daniel vs Daniel

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

On the {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} turn, Daniel Sequenzia check-called a bet of 15,000 by Daniel Demecki and then bet the {3-Clubs} river out of the small blind for 30,000. Demecki opted to fold and raised shortly after from the button to 30,000.

Sequenzia three-bet the pot out of the big blind and the Pole got out of the way after asking for a rough count on the stack of his opponent.

Three-Handed Counts

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Daniel Demecki still holds the lead even though he lost some chips while having more chips than Daniel Sequenzia and Fabian Geisel together. It is far from locked up though and the pay jumps between the three remaining spots on the podium are quite big to make for more careful play.

Sam Higgs
Sam Higgs

Once again Sam Higgs has cashed, but the big score escaped the 2014 World Series of Poker Asia Pacific bracelet winner. He faced a limp and a raise by Fabian Geisel before jamming with pocket kings, Geisel called it off with nines and six-eight double suit to hit a nine in the window.

An up-and-down straight draw on the turn blanked and no king showed up on the river either to bust Higgs in fourth place.
