Demicki Wins Another

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

The red T-500 chips have been raced off at the start of the level and Daniel Demicki then raised to 15,000 from the button. Douglas Corning called from the small blind and then checked the flop {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Demicki continued for 19,000 and that was enough to win the pot uncontested.

Gareth Pepper Eliminated in 7th Place (AU$21,995)

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
Gareth Pepper
Gareth Pepper

Gareth Pepper got his stack in preflop and was hoping not to see an ace on the board in order to double up his remaining 60,000 chips. Out of the big blind, Daniel Demicki looked him up for the following showdown:

Pepper: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Demicki: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{3-Spades}

It was all good on the flop {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and the {2-Hearts} turn, but Demicki had a ton of outs to improve. The {A-Diamonds} river was one of them and that sent Pepper to the rail in 7th place.

Michael Tomeny raised to 15,000 and Stephen Chidwick defended his big blind to see a flop of {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Chidwick fired a bet of the 32,500 and Tomeny waved with his hand to ask for the stack behind of the Brit, then moved all in. Chidwick called it off for another 15,000 and they tabled their cards.

Chidwick: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Tomeny: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

It was all over on the {4-Hearts} turn for the 8-Game Mix winner and Chidwick officially headed to the rail in 8th place once the {6-Clubs} had completed the board.

Corning Doubles Through Higgs

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

The cards of Sam Higgs were already rushed away with the board showing {9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Douglas Corning was showing {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Spades} for nines and fours, which scooped the pot and a big double for the American. Sequenzia Triples Up

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Stephen Chidwick limped in from under the gun and Daniel Sequenzia in the small blind called, Konstantin Buecherl checked his option. On the flop {Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} the fireworks started with Sequenzia betting 15,000. Buecherl announced all in and Chidwick did so as well, Sequenzia called all in.

Sequenzia: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Buecherl: {K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Chidwick: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

The {6-Diamonds} on the turn gave Sequenzia a full house, a blank {10-Spades} on the river provided the triple up for the Aussie for 46,500 total. Buecherl had 10,000 more and got some change back while Chidwick lost half his stack.
