Chang Sends Walters Back to the Registration Desk

Danny Chang raised to 2,200 under the gun and got three-bet to 8,600 by Bruce Walters in middle position. Action folded back around to Chang who called.

The flop came 10♣6♥5♠ and Chang led out for 8,000 which Walters called.

On the Q♥ turn, Chang moved all in for 24,600, slightly covering Walters who called to put himself at risk.

Danny Chang: K♥Q♠10♠9♥

Chang was ahead with top two pair versus Walters' double gutshot straight draws.

The river 2♣ brought in neither of Walters' draws, and he headed back to the registration desk to hop right back into the tournament which has 15 players left in the final level of registration.

Henson Gets Paid by Opponent "Four Times Better" Than Him

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 400 ante

Following a limp from Drake Roetker in the hijack, Ray Henson raised to 3,000 in the cutoff. Roetker called and then checked dark.

After the dealer spread a flop of 9♥3♦2♠, Henson quickly bet 3,000 and Roetker called.

The duo then checked the A♦, leading to the K♥ falling on the river.

After a final check from Roetker, Henson bet 10,000, sending Roetker into the tank.

Roetker said he thought he had the best hand and revealed the A♥, which prompted a question of whether he was folding to which Roetker replied, "not yet, I'm trying to get a read."

Henson replied, "but you will be," and shortly after, Roetker tossed in a call.

Henson turned over his A♠K♣K♠7♥ for a rivered set of kings and the winner.

Despite the loss, Roetker asked "for the record" that it be known that he's "four times the player" that Henson is "with twice the amount of chips".

Which seems like poker math if there ever was an occasion of it.

Walters Doubles Through Andrade

Following an exchange of preflop raises, Bruce Walters was all in for just under 30,000 versus Gabriel Andrade, who had it in good, but in PLO, we know it's never really THAT good.

Bruce Walters: A♣K♣K♠9♠
Gabriel Andrade: A♠A♥7♣4♦

Walters' kings were in against Andrade's aces, but the flop came K♦10♠4♥ giving Walters trip kings to take the lead.

The 2♠ on the turn gave him a backup flush draw, leaving Andrade dead to the last ace in the deck.

The river though was the J♦, sending the double-up to Walters, while leaving Andrade under a starting stack.

Chip Leader Fitzpatrick Drags a Pot After Extended Break

Jason Fitzpatrick was just seen dragging a pot, which was his first since the day's first 15-minute break. The chip leader so far was actually gone for all of Level 5, but it wasn't by his choice.

Fitzpatrick told PokerNews that he left the Champions Club on break to take his friend to grab a drink off the property, and a combination of brutal traffic in the area and a distant parking spot upon his return led to his late return to the table.

With the chip lead by a significant margin, Fitzpatrick's stack barely noticed his absence as he's still well in front of the field midway through Level 6.

Henson onto Second Event of the Day

After bagging Day 1a of the $400 Mystery Bounty event, accomplished pro and Houston native Ray Henson has joined the PLO Championship field.

With Henson's entry, the field now sits at 28 entries, with 18 players remaining in the Day 1a field.

Roetker Approaching Six Figures

Thus far, only Jason Fitzpatrick has entered six-figure territory with his chip-leading stack of nearly 200,000, but Drake Roetker is about halfway to Fitzpatrick's stack after a recent pot.

Following a raise to 1,500 by Randall Lefevre in the hijack and a pair of late position calls, Roetker made it 4,500 to go from the small blind.

Only Joshua Burkhalter called on the button to see the J♠6♦6♥ flop.

Roetker check-called a bet of 3,500 from Burkhalter to see the K♣ fall on the turn.

Following another Roetker check, Burkhalter fired another 11,000 which Roetker again called.

On the river Q♥, Roetker checked a final time, but couldn't get a final bet out of Burkhalter who checked.

Roetker rolled over K♠K♥10♠9♥ for kings full of sixes and the winner to take down the pot.
