Matusow Doubles Up Virtually Drawing Dead

Matusow Pulls a Miracle
Matusow Pulls a Miracle

Action folded around to a player with a petite stack of 700, and he moved all in. Mike Matusow was next to act, and he moved in for 8,100. It folded around to the big blind, and he tanked for about 30 seconds before calling it off. When the cards were table, Matusow couldn't help but laugh at loud.

Opponent 1: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Opponent 2: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}

Upon seeing the hands, Matusow yelled "I'm F***ing drawing dead. What's drawing dead ladies and gents?" Eventually, he tabled {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, and indeed, The Mouth was drawing very slim. He would need some sort of straight draw, or the last eight in the deck to claim a majority of the pot. Well he did just that, as the flop came down {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. The board completed {4-Diamonds} and {7-Clubs}, and Matusow let the whole room know just how lucky he got.

After the hand, Matusow shot up to 17,000.

Is That a Real Hand?

Well don't say that Michael Mizrachi isn't having fun tonight. Action started with an early position raiser making it 3,000 to go. He was called by a middle position player, and the action folded to another player, who moved all in for 8,000. Mizrachi peaked down at his cards and quickly moved all in, easily having all the players involved covered.

Mizrachi was nice enough to show one card, the {a-Diamonds}, while his opponent tanked. Mizrachi was goading his opponent into a call, laughing and smiling the whole time. Eventually, both players folded, and the all in cards were revealed.

When Mizrachi's opponent tabled {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}, Mizrachi joked, "Is that a real hand? Is that a hand that people get in this game?" Mizrachi told the table he only looked at the ace, and showed {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}.

Mizrachi was well behind, but that didn't last long, as the flop came down {a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}. The table burst out in laughter at the Grinder's good fortune, and his hand held up, as the turn brought the {4-Diamonds}, and the river brought the {7-Clubs}.

After that hand, Mizrachi is out in front of the pack, sitting on 48,000.

Mizrachi Finally Loses A Hand

Everytime we've walked by Michael Mizrachi's table, it seems like he's picking up chips. Well, we finally saw Mizrachi falter in one of the first hands back from the break. Action started with an open limp to 600, and Mizrachi raised to 2,100 on the button. It folded back to the raiser, who called, and the two went heads up to a flop of {10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

It was checked to Mizrachi, and he fired out 2,000. He was quickly called, and the turn brought the {10-Diamonds}. Mizrachi's opponent once again checked called, this time to the tune of 5,100. The river brought the {8-Clubs}, and Mizrachi's opponent moved all in for 7,000. Mizrachi reluctantly called, and was disappointed to see his opponent table {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Mizrachi flashed {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for a lesser two pair, and sent the chips over to his opponent.

Mizrachi is still plenty healthy with 18,000, but with the blinds going up quickly, he will need to get some more chips soon.
