Coren Shoves But Gets No Takers

VIcky Coren, on the big blind in a limped pot, open-shoved the turn of a {9-Spades}

board, or almost did -- she stuck 4,300 in the middle, leaving herself around 300 in green 25-denomination chips behind. Priyan De Mel seemed to be considering it, but in the end everyone folded and she received a welcome boost to her uncomfortably small stack.

It checked around to the player on the button, and he fired out another 1,800. Elky called and Ruthenberg folded. Elky check-called 1,300 from his opponent on the {Q-Clubs}

turn as well, and then both players checked the {Q-Spades}

river. The opponent threw down {K-Spades}

and Elky mucked. He drops down to 14,000.
