Players are on a Break

With the elimination of Mark Flowers, play has been paused so that the nine remaining players can be mic'd up and seated at the EPT Live Feature Table. Play should resume within a few minutes.

Mark Flowers Eliminated in 10th Place ($71,441)

Mark Flowers
Mark Flowers
Mark Flowers made it 55,000 pre-flop and Dario Minieri reraised to 185,000 from the small blind. With a wave of his hands Mark moved all in and Dario instantly called. The pot was 1,370,000 which is the biggest of the tournament so far. Mark had 255,000 left over so it was Dario's tournament life at risk.

The board was dealt {2-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and the roof was nearly lifted off the casino by the Dario fans on the rail.

The very next hand Mark open pushed for his remaining 255,000 from UTG. Dag Palovic insta-called in the seat next to him and everyone else folded. Dag had {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} against Mark's {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. A {K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop brought an unnecessary scream from Palovic. The turn was the {4-Spades} giving Mark some outs but the {2-Spades} brought more screaming, shouting, and dancing from Palovic as he locked up the pot and sent Mark Flowers to the rail to collect his 10th-place prize of ($71,441).

Dag Palovic Doubles Through Isaac Baron

Dag Palovic raised to 55,000 from under the gun and Isaac Baron, who was next to act, moved all in behind him. Palovic insta-called when it got back to him and the players showed:

Palovic: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Baron: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The flop was dramatic coming down {7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Palovic seemed crushed. Before he could get too bent out of shape however, the {K-Clubs} hit the turn. Palovic pumped his fist in triumph as the river fell the {Q-Spades}. Palovic doubled up to over 700,000 while Baron is crippled with just over 100,000.

Jonas Klausen Eliminated in 12th Place ($44,361)

Jonas Klausen - 12th Place
Jonas Klausen - 12th Place
In the very first of play following dinner, Jonas Klausen was eliminated. Klausen took his 6-6 up against the {J-Spades}{8-Spades} of Isaac Baron and fell short when Baron turned a flush. Klausen was eliminated in 12th place and will take home $44,361 to ease his pain.

Eric Koskas Pushes Thorson Around

Eric Koskas
Eric Koskas
Eric Koskas made it 65,000 pre-flop and William Thorson called with position on the erratic Frenchman. The flop came down {3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Eric immediately moved all in for one million, well covering Thorson. Thorson folded.

Next hand Thorson limped and Eric raised again and Thorson folded. Koskas showed J-J that time.
