Cody-Breaker

Jake Cody opened UTG to 825, Joep van den Bijgaart made the call, as did Mattias Andersson and Fabrizio Marcialis.

Konstantin Shelegov then decided to ruin the party by raising to 5,400. Cody thought and then made the call but everyone else folded.

The flop was {K-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {5-Clubs} and both players checked carefully. On the {K-Spades} turn Shelegov bet 8,000 and Cody called, allowing us to see a {3-Hearts} river.

Both players checked again and Shelegov showed {A-Spades} {K-Clubs}, Cody mucked what he later said was Queens.

FatalFlop

Mr. Error
Mr. Error
We've just learned of the demise of American pro Jon Aguiar as well. Aguiar flopped a set with pocket nines, but the king-queen-nine flop also made his opponent a straight with ten-jack. Unable to fill up on fourth or fifth, "FatalError" made a quiet exit from the room.

Back We Go

It's time to see what poker-playing treats the PokerStars Express has delivered to the Casino San Remo for us to report on...

Level: 5

Blinds: 150/300

Break Time

When we return in 15 minutes' time the field will be slightly larger as we understand that the PokerStars Express Coach Trip Bus Party is almost here!

Bevand Ker-Zhapped

We arrived tableside to witness the board reading {4-Spades} {3-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {7-Hearts} and Manuel Bevand betting out 3,800 with 15,000 behind. On the button, Yury Kerzhapkin raised to 10,300. Bevand thought about it briefly before pushing, and Kerzhapkin didn't think at all before making the call.

Bevand: {7-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} for a turned set
Kerzhapkin: {5-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} for the turned straight

River: a non-pairing {K-Diamonds}

The to shook hands and Bevand hit the rail. Kerzhapkin meanwhile is up to over 70,000.

Bjorin Again

With around 6,000 in the pot by the turn of the {10-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {4-Diamonds} board, Chris Bjorin (small blind) checked to the player in the big blind (an alternate, so we unfortunately do not yet have his name on a convenient player list). Mr. Big Blind bet 5,000 - but Bjorin eyed up his remaining stack (17,000 behind) and then raised to cover him. Mr. Big Blind made a littlenoise like, "Pfft," and then folded.

Bjorin is up to 47,000.
