Our last check on two of the Dutchies sees them both conspicuously absent without leave. We can't find Pieter de Korver or Rob Hollink, and we're fairly certain they've both been sent packing.
After all, it'd be hard to miss de Korver if he were still playing.
Lam Trinh raised to 1,700 under the gun and was called by a player in middle position, Nacho Barbero on the button, and the player in the big blind.
The flop ran out and the big blind player checked. Trinh bet 4,600 and forced a fold from the middle position player. Nacho made the call, but the big blind player immediately went all in for 6,200 more. Trinh thought for a few moments and made the call, as did Nacho.
The hit the turn and Trinh bet 30,000, enough to put Nacho all in. Barbero folded and the big blind revealed for a straight.
Trinh was well behind with , but hit the on the river to make a full house and eliminate his opponent. He is up to 175,000 and quite possibly the chip leader heading into the next break.
Marine Labernardie opened to 1,500 from early position, and Tim van der Riet three-bet to 4,500 a few seats over. Labernardie put in the call, and they went heads up to a flop of . After the lady checked, van der Riet continued out with a bet of 4,200. Ms. Labernardie had 22,100 total chips left, and she went ahead and stuck them in there. Van der Riet quickly called with the covering stack.
Showdown
Labernardie:
Van der Riet:
Van der Riet's slim three-bet had come through on the flop, and his two pair was poised for the knockout. The turn was no help to the at-risk Labernardie, but the river would bring salvation. The that landed on the end counterfeited her opponent's kings up, giving both players the same two pair. Labernardie's kicker was the big one though, and she's picked up the double. That moves her up to about 54,000, her and van der Riet essentially swapping stacks in that exchange.
