Steve "gboro780" Gross is already back on break after getting into it from the small blind. The button raised to 1,500, and Gross reraised to 4,275. The button moved all in, and Gross called for his last 10,000 or so to see that his were up against .
With the flop reading , it checked around to Mostafa Belkhayate, who bet 11,400. Daniel Negreanu shoved for 19,525, everyone else folded, and Belkhayate called.
Negreanu: for middle pair and an up-and-down
Belkhayate: for a gutshot
Turn: uh-oh
River:
With that, Negreanu headed for the door - we believe it's the first time this season he hasn't made Day 2. Belkhayate meanwhile is the table daddy with 145,000.
With the board reading by the time we caught up with the action on the turn, there was a 3,575 bet from the gent in mid position. Pierre Neuville flat-called on the button.
The saw a river and Mr. Mid Position bet out another 4,500. Neuville promptly moved all in for 18,500, and after a few moments his opponent had folded and the pot was his.
The gent who has been confirmed as forerunner for the Online Qualifier of the Year award at the upcoming EPT Awards this week is up to 40,000.
Former England International footballer, Teddy Sheringham has about 60,000 after he pushed all-in for 30,000 on the turn of a board into a 10,000 pot forcing to fold.
Justin "Boosted J" Smith has suffered a couple of minor setbacks. First he lost a large pot folding to a 15,500 bet on the river of a board to Alex Keating.
The next hand, Smith 3-bet a middle position open from 1,400 to 2,300 but folded when Johnny Lodden cold 4-bet to 11,675 from the blinds.
Three players saw a flop and Craig Bergeron checked from under the gun. The gentleman a few seats down bet 3,000 - only for Melanie Weisner to his left to make it 7,200. Bergeron now shoved for 11,425, the bettor folded, and Weisner made the call.
Bergeron:
Weisner: said "Oh wow, nice hand," as she flipped her
Turn:
River:
Bergeron more than doubled to 30,000. Weisner dropped to 40,000.
Carter Phillips raised to 1,450 from the button and picked up a call from the gent in the big blind. However, it didn't go much further than that. The big blind checked the flop and Phillips stuck in another 1,550; the big blind folded and Phillips edged up to 75,000.
Mr Phillips seems to have dropped a few chips since then though - he was at 65,000 when we strolled by his table.
Daniel Negreanu opened for 1,375 and James Mitchell shoved behind for his last 8,200. The gentleman in the small blind unexpectedly called, Negreanu folded and they proceeded to showdown.
Small Blind Gentleman:
Mitchell: a rather lacklustre
Board: bink!
"Nghhh!" said Negreanu. "That worked out so well..."
