Lauttamus Takes Strange Line To Take Down Pot

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

If you can keep your opponents guessing to what your hand strength is then you will definitely be a thorn in their side. Juha Lauttamus obviously knows this because he took a strange line against Simon Ravnsbaek in a hand just now.

It was Ravnsbaek who opened the betting with a raise to 4,800 from the cutoff and Lauttamus decided to see flop from the big blind and tossed in the extra chips. He and Ravnsbaek shared a flop reading {7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{K-Hearts} and both players checked but there was no such passivity when the {A-Clubs} landed on the turn, instead Lauttamus instantly reached for chips and bet just 2,100. Ravnsbaek asked the dealer to confirm the amount before making the call.

The river was the {8-Clubs} and despite it being a relative blank Lauttamus made it 17,200 to play. Ravnsbaek took another look at his cards before giving them back to the dealer. Lauttamus wins.
