Saveikis Algirdas opened for 4,000 from the cutoff and received a call from Sebastian Ruthenberg on the button. A short-stacked Harald Olsen then moved all in from the big blind for around 17,000, which both Algirdas and Ruthenberg called. When the flop fell , the former led out for 28,300, Ruthenberg raised big, and Algirdas snap-called off for 87,800.
Showdown
Algirdas
Ruthenberg
Olsen
All three players held pocket pairs, but Olsen was worse while Algirdas was the favorite. The turn was of no consequence, but the river was as it allowed Olsen to collect the main pot and survive. With that said, Algirdas still won the massive side pot and dealt a blow to Ruthenberg's stack.
The WSOP bracelet winner and 2010 WPT Grand Prix de Paris champion Theo Jorgensen just suffered a huge blow after calling Frenchman Clement Bonin's shove.
With around 10,000 already in the pot and the board reading Jorgensen bet 5,000 in the big blind and Bonin three-bet to 13,500. Jorgensen then fired a four-bet of 22,000 and Bonin went all-in for 81,400 and Jorgensen made the call.
The Dane opened for a pair and a straight draw and Bonin flipped . The on the turn and on the river did not favor Jorgensen and he lost around half of his stack.
Konstantin Puchkov, who finished third in this very event back in Season 7 for €300,000, raised to 4,500 from early position and cleared the field to Jake Cody, who moved all in for 55,400 from the button. The blinds both folded and Puchkov slid in a call.
Showdown
Puchkov
Cody
The dynamic duo held the same hand, which meant it would be a chop barring one of the players making the flush. Puchkov had a better chance of doing that with two spades in his hand, but it would be Cody who was freerolling on the . Puchkov looked disgusted, and even more so when the turn gave Cody the flush. The Russian could still chop if the river put a straight flush on the board, but it wasn't in the cards as the blanked.
Just as the flop was being dealt, Daniel Negreanu was telling Sam Holden, "I have a good hand..."
The board came out and Holden led out for 6,100 which Negreanu thought about then made the call.
The came on the turn and Holden didn't hesitate for too long before leading for 14,500. Again Negreanu thought before mucking and then said, "I had a good hand...You have a better one or you were going to get there!"

Edit: We have a few more details on the big pot that got Ilari Sahamies. An opponent shoved a massive 200,000 into him with whilst the Finn was sat there with . The board ran an exciting .
We stumbled upon a hand with around 20,000 in the pot and a board reading . Jonathan Karamalikis was in the tank after betting 8,000 from the small blind and being raised to 20,000 by Alejandro Perez Torres on the button. The Australian thought for a long time and eventually sent his hand to the muck.
