We picked up the action on a flop, with over 55,000 already in the middle. Steve O'Dwyer was in the small blind and had a 25,000 chip in front of him. Dvoress, on the button, took several minutes before moving all in. The shove, around 110,000, got instantly called by O'Dwyer.

Dvoress' pocket queens were in rough shape against O'Dwyer's aces. Neither the turn nor river improved Dvoress' hand, sending the Canadian high roller to the rail.
Manuchehr Ahadpur Khangah limped in, John Juanda raised to 3,500 and Adrian Mateos called in the big blind, as did Khangah. On the flop, Mateos and Khangah both checked. Juanda bet 6,000 and Mateos folded, Khangah called.
The turn brought a check by Khangah, a bet of 12,500 by Juanda and the call of the Iranian. Both players then checked the river and Khangah turned over . Juanda had that beat with and scooped the pot.
Rainer Kempe raised and picked up two callers including Manuchehr Ahadpur Khangah and Koray Aldemir in the big blind. All three players checked the flop of . On the turn, Aldemir bet 9,400 and Kempe folded, Khangah called.
The river completed the board and Aldemir checked, Khangah bet 20,000 and that won the pot without showdown.
Hand 2
Adrian Mateos raised to 3,000 from under the gun and Aldemir called in the small blind, as did the big blind. The flop came and action checked to Mateos, who bet 8,000. Only Aldemir called and checked the turn. Mateos fired a second bet worth 23,000 and that shut down all further action, as Aldemir sent his cards into the muck.
Tom-Aksel Bedell opened in early position to 3,500, getting calls from both David Peters in the small blind and Juha Helppi in the big blind. The flop was checked around, which prompted Peters to lead out 7,300 on the turn. Helppi folded, and Bedell called.
On the river, Peters checked to Bedell. The Norwegian, who won a live satellite to qualify for this event, slid out a bet of 16,000. Peters called, but mucked when Bedell tabled for a set of fives.
Over on table 1, that was playing 6-handed, Jason Koon opened the cutoff for 3,200. Chance Kornuth on the button made the call before small blind Alexandros Kolonias squeezed to 15,000. Big blind Mikhail Rudoy contemplated what to do for just a bit, before making it 36,000. Koon and Kornuth got out of the way, Kolonias made the call.
The flop came and Kolonias checked. Rudoy bet 32,000 and Kolonias called.
The two of them both checked the on the turn and the completed the board. Kolonias pushed in 165,000 or so, putting Rudoy to the decision for his remaining stack of about 140,000. Rudoy thought about it for a bit before he called by tossing in two low denomination chips.
Kolonias showed for a straight, and Rudoy tabled for the same hand. Chop it up!
Andreas Goeller was already sitting on a pretty healthy stack before this hand with Stanley Choi, with tablemates Stephen Chidwick and Mike McDonald appearing to have suffered the most.
In this hand Choi openedf rom the button to 3,500 and had a caller in the small blind as well as Goeller in the big blind.
The flop came . It checked to Choi who bet 8,000. The player in the small blind folded and Goeller called. Both remaining players checked the on the turn. The river was the and Goeller check-called a bet of 12,000. Choi turned over while Goeller showed for his pair of threes winning him the pot and pushing his chipstack over 500,000
