Irish Table of Death Gets Worse!
Liam Flood has made a great recovery to 23,000 and I found him in a bouyant mood at the break. The tables have turned and now Patrick Bruel is the short stack at the table, having earlier been responsible for taking most of Liam's chips.
Roy Brindley is bemoaning the fact that he got aces for the first time in four tournaments and only got the blinds, whilst Liam doubled up when he got them!
15-Minute Break
There are currently 83 players remaining on 10 tables and the average chip stack is 23,900.
Annette Obrestad Doubles Up
Action folded around to the player on the button who limped in with aces; the small blind completed the bet and and Annette checked her option in the big blind. The flop came 6-7-J, with two spades and both blinds checked to the button, who led out for 700. The small blind then folded and Annette kicked it up to 3,000. The button player opted to reraise enough to put Annette all in and she made the call with bottom two pair. A red seven fell on the turn, making a full house for Obrestad, leaving her opponent drawing to one of the two remaining aces in the deck, which never came.
After the hand, Annette stacked up 18,850 new chips.

No Back-to-Back Titles For Thew!

The turn and river were , and Julian is eliminated in a 25,000-chip pot!
Liam Flood Doubles Up
Long story short, Flood held aces against Mestre's queens and the pair raised back and forth preflop until Liam was all in. Mestre could only shake his head at the sight of Flood's hand, as he realized just what bad shape he was in. The board filled out and Flood took down the pot, doubling up to just under 20,000 in chips -- the biggest stack he's had all day.
In case you're still wondering about the Liam Flood dealer buttons . . . well, so are we. We asked Liam about them and he seemed perplexed with the question, offering this response: "I asked the manufacturer to make them and they did." Perhaps we'll check with a few more sources and see what comes up.
Three Pair is Good!
The turn is the and this time the button bets 2,500 into the 3,000 pot; only Julian Thew calls.
The river is the and both players check. Julian shows for the win, which takes him back up to 12,000.
