Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu raised to 18,000 and Steve O'Dwyer called from the button. The flop showed {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and O'Dwyer called a bet from the Canadian Team PokerStars Pro.

On the turn the {3-Hearts} hit and Negreanu bet 60,000, O'Dwyer called. The river brought the {4-Diamonds} and this time Negreanu bet 132,000. O'Dwyer tanked for a while but eventually he made the call only to see that Negreanu had {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}.

The river brought a blank and this time Pitcho check-called 100,000. Mandic showed {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts} and took down the pot.

Deeb Folds Top Pair To Negreanu

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu raised from under the gun to 18,000, and Freddy Deeb made the call out of the hijack seat to see a flop of {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. Negreanu fired 26,000, and Deeb called.

The turn was the {6-Clubs}, and Negreanu stayed on the gas with a bet of 67,000. Deeb called once again.

The river was the {3-Clubs}, and Negreanu fired 105,000. Deeb took some time, but eventually folded the {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. Negreanu showed the {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for two pair, meaning Deeb was right in laying down a big top pair.

Benadiba Eliminated

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu raised to 18,000 from early position, and Steve O'Dwyer called from the cutoff seat with a dead button in play. Stephane Benadiba called from the small blind, and the big blind folded.

The dealer slid out the {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop, and Benadiba moved all in for his last 26,000. Negreanu made the call, but O'Dwyer wasn't about to let Negreanu continue for cheap and raised to 75,000. Negreanu gave it up.

O'Dwyer showed the {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} for middle set. Benadiba held the {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for bottom pair.

The turn was the {2-Clubs}, leaving Benadiba needing the case deuce on the river for a miracle suckout. The {10-Clubs} wasn't what he was looking for, though, and Benadiba headed out the door.

O'Dwyer is currently in second place on the leader board, behind only Team Pro Johnny Lodden. On the European Poker Tour, O'Dwyer has had a bit of success, including a second-place finish at EPT London for £465,000 in 2011 before following that up with another final table in the London Main Event this year. He has one other EPT final table from Copenhagen in 2012, and basically what we're trying to say is that whenever O'Dwyer cashes in an EPT event, he seems to find his way to the final table.

With well over a million in chips right now, it looks as though O'Dwyer has set himself up perfectly to add a fourth.

Lodden Doesn't Have Sh*t

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Johnny Lodden - Doesn't have sh*t
Johnny Lodden - Doesn't have sh*t

Johnny Lodden opened to 16,000 in late position, Patrick Naxache called out of the small blind, and Grant Levy moved all in for 124,000 out of the big blind. Lodden called, and Naxache mucked.

"You have a monster?" Levy asked.

"I don't have sh*t," Lodden said, showing {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

Lodden's "sh*t" was still ahead of Levy's {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}, but the Australian made a pair of queens when the flop fell {10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{q-Spades}, and held as the turn and river came {9-Diamonds}, {5-Spades} respectively.

Chen Loses Flip; Busts

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Andrew Chen - Eliminated
Andrew Chen - Eliminated

Freddy Deeb opened to 20,000 on the button, Steve O'Dwyer called out of the small blind, and Andrew Chen moved all in for 242,000 from the big blind. Deeb tank-called, and O'Dwyer snap-mucked.

Deeb: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Chen: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The {5-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop gave Chen four extra outs to make a straight, and sure enough the {k-Hearts} turned, giving him Broadway. To needle the Canadian, the river brought the {7-Spades} giving him a meaningless set.

Chen was off to collect his cash, while Deeb now has 670,000 chips.

Calvin Anderson - Eliminated
Calvin Anderson - Eliminated

Calvin Anderson had a great run in EPT Berlin where he finished just short of the final table and right here in Monte Carlo he was quite close again. Unfortunately for Anderson his run just ended as he was not able to win a crucial coin flip. Anderson was all in for 80,000 chips on his final hand.

Anderson: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Vasili Firsau: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

The board ran out {K-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Anderson was knocked out.
