Negreanu Chops

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu holding his ace-king
Daniel Negreanu holding his ace-king

Didier Pitcho opened to 13,000 from under the gun, Daniel Negreanu called on his direct left, and German Simon Dansker defended out of the big blind.

The flop fell {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, Dankster checked, and Pitcho continued for 14,000. Only Negreanu called.

The turn was the {j-Spades}, Pitcho opted to check, and Negreanu quickly fired 31,000. Pitcho called.

The {8-Hearts} completed the board, Pitcho checked again, and Negreanu flipped forward 58,000. Pitcho quickly check-raised to 118,000, prompting Negreanu to rip his cards off of the felt and hold them in his face.

Kid Poker looked at his {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}, looked at the board, then returned his attention to his hand once again. Finally, he called, and Pitcho showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.

"You don't win," Negreanu said, tabling his hand for all to see.

The two chopped the pot, much to the relief of the Team PokerStars Pro.

Ramdin All Over The Place

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Victor Ramdin
Victor Ramdin

Team PokerStars Pro Victor Ramdin has been playing a ton of pots lately and his swings have been quite big. During the first hand we watched Ramdin battled with fellow Team PokerStars Pro Marcin Horecki. Horecki raised under the gun to 13,000 and Ramdin called from the button.

The flop brought out {4-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Horecki check-called 11,000. On the turn the {8-Clubs} hit and Horecki check-called 25,000. The river brought the {10-Hearts} and Horecki checked again. Ramdin bet 57,000 and Horecki made the call. Ramdin showed {J-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and took down the pot with a flush.

A few hands later Ramdin tried to win some more chips from Jason Mercier. Ramdin raised to 12,000 and called Mercier's three-bet to 31,000. The flop brought out {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Ramdin check-called 26,000. On the turn the {K-Hearts} hit and Mercier picked up the pot with a 58,000-chip bet.

Not too long after that Ramdin ended up trying to bust German Simon Dansker who was all in with {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} on a {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop against Ramdin's {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}. The board ran out {8-Diamonds}, {3-Spades} and Dansker doubled up.

"Okay, now I'm done," Ramdin said about his loose style, but he's still doing quite alright with around 45 minute break.

What Does Lodden Think Now?

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Johnny Lodden
Johnny Lodden

Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden has made several deep runs in EPT Main Events. In the last few years, he's finished eighth, ninth, 13th twice, 14th and 17th twice. It's safe to say he's been close a ton of times, but a real victory is still missing from his résumé.

Good thing for him, he just managed to grab a big chip lead with under 50 players remaining. Lodden was the first player to break the million-chip mark at the this year's EPT Grand Final.

The action started with Panagiotis Gavriilidis raising under the gun to 12,000, and Lodden three-bet to 30,000 from his immediate left. The action was folded back to Gavriilidis, and he made the call.

The flop brought out the {J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, and Gavriilidis checked to Lodden who fired out 26,000. Gavriilidis decided to check-raise to 57,000, but that didn't scare Lodden away. The Norwegian three-bet to 91,000, but even that was not enough for Gavriilidis who four-bet to 167,000. Lodden went into the tank for a long time, but eventually he made the call.

On the turn, the {6-Diamonds} hit and Gavriilidis decided to move all in for exactly 400,000 chips. Lodden had 585,000 chips in front of him, and it took him about three minutes to figure out what to do with this massive shove. Eventually, Lodden pulled the trigger and made the call. The showdown amazed everyone standing around the table as Gavriilidis had tried to pull off a massive bluff.

Gavriilidis: {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Lodden: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}

"This one I need to win," Lodden said as he needed to dodge a bunch of deuces and treys in order to claim this huge pot. The river brought the {10-Clubs}, and Lodden now has a huge lead while Gavriilidis was knocked out.

"Are You Steaming?"

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Noah Schwartz - Steaming?
Noah Schwartz - Steaming?

Freddy Deeb raised to 15,000 from under the gun plus one, only to have Noah Schwartz three-bet to 41,000 on his direct left. The action folded back to Deeb, winner of the 2007 $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship, who called.

The dealer fanned {a-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Deeb quickly checked, and Schwartz continued for 34,000. Deeb sat quietly, riffling chips with both hands, then called.

The turn was the {k-Clubs}, Deeb checked again, and Schwartz began assembling chips. Schwartz grabbed a yellow T25,000 chip, added a few blue T5,000 chips, and a few red T1,000 chips, firing 58,000. Deeb called.

The {q-Spades} completed the board, and Deeb checked once more.

"All in," Schwartz said so quietly that nobody even knew that he acted before the red all-in triangle plopped down in front of him.

"All in he said?" Deeb asked the dealer, who nodded. "Can I have a count?"

Schwartz clearly had Deeb covered, but nonetheless the dealer counted down his 266,000-chip stack. Deeb, who was sitting with 208,000, started questioning Schwartz?

"Steaming?" he asked. "Are you steaming? Do you have a big hand? I think that you're steaming."

Schwartz remained silent. Still.

"I don't have much," Deeb said, flashing the {9-Diamonds} before folding. "But I wanted to call you."

Deeb then said he had either pocket nines or ace-nine.

Schwartz raked in the pot, chipping up to 535,000 chips, while Deeb dropped to 208,000.

Juanda's Jack Oust Mitchell

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
John Juanda
John Juanda

John Juanda has taken care of the dangerous player to his left, James Mitchell.

Mitchell opened to 12,000 from under the gun and then called all in for 137,000 when Juanda shoved from the big blind. When Juanda saw Mitchell's holding he said, "Wow!"

Mitchell: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Juanda: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The board ran {4-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}.

Instead of looking at the board run out, Juanda opted to stare at Mitchell knowing he would get the information needed from the Brit's reactions. The reaction he saw was the one he was hoping for.
