Action folded to the button who put in a raise to 2,500. Our chip leader, Nicolas Fierro Gottner, was in the small blind and refused to let his chips go so easily. He decided to raise to 6,500 and was quite surprised when the big blind moved all-in for around 50,000. The button quickly folded and action was back on Gottner. He certainly could have afforded to make the call but instead tossed his hand into the muck.
The big blind then showed . Could showing such a marginal hand to the chip leader be a good idea? We'll have to wait and see if the fireworks continue at Gottner's table.

The player in Seat 8 raised to 2,500 from middle position and action folded to Andre Akkari on the button. He put in a raise to 6,000 and both blinds got out of the way. In order to call, Akkari would have to commit about half his chips. He thought better of it and tossed his cards in the muck, leaving himself with about 64,000.
EPT Copenhagen champion Tim Vance was one of the afternoon's early casualties. He departed in unknown circumstances to hit the cash game tables and check out the side events.
Andre Akkari entered the day with a decent stack and has been putting it to good use. In a recent hand, action folded to Akkari in the cutoff. He promptly put in a raise to 2,300 and managed to swipe the blinds and antes, bringing his stack to aorund 68,000. However, things might not be so easy as the day progresses considering he is seated at the same table as our chip leader, Nicolas Fierro Gottner.
Nicolas Fierro Gottner, who entered the day as the overwhelming chip leader thanks to a late night surge on Day 1, has picked up right where he left off. We picked up the action on a flop of with about 15,000 in the pot.
Gottner, in the small blind, was heads-up against the player in the big blind and checked. The big blind bet 14,000 and Gottner made the call. When the hit the turn, Gottner checked and the big blind shipped his entire stack of about 35,000 into the pot. Gottner quickly called and turned over for a straight while the big blind was left drawing dead with his . The was put out on the river and Gottner took down another monster pot to add to his chip stack. He now has approximately 340,000.
