Luis Vazquez
Luis Vazquez
Peter Jetten raised his button an made it 2,000 to go. Luis Vazquez was in the small blind and called. Greg Debora called from the big blind as well. All three remaining players at the table saw the flop come down {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. One by one, they all checked.

The turn added the {10-Clubs} to the board. Vazquez was first and fired 3,000. Debora called and Jetten mucked.

The river was the {A-Hearts} and Vazquez went into his stack to grab some chips. He fired out 6,200 and Debora made the call.

Vazquez tabled the {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for trip aces and Debora mucked his hand. Debora dropped to 39,000 while Vazquez moved up to 70,000.

Pezzin Punted

Pat Pezzin
Pat Pezzin
Pat Pezzin was all in prefloip and at risk against Matt Glantz. Good thing for Pezzin though was that he had the best hand, dominating Glantz's pocket twos with pocket fours. Unfortunately for Pezzin, the flop came down {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Glantz shot to the lead. Neither player held a diamond in their hand.

The turn brought the {5-Clubs} and then the river paired the board with the {5-Diamonds}. Glantz made a full house and collected the bounty of Pezzin, who was sent to the rail, leaving Glantz heads up on the feature table with Scott Seiver. During the break, the feature table was swapped out for another table to give some other players some TV time.

Mercier Takes Out Woodward

Matt Woodward - Eliminated
Matt Woodward - Eliminated
Matt Woodward raised to 2,000 on the button and Jason Mercier asked for an approximate count of Woodward's remaining stack. After being told it was about 41,000, Mercier called.

The flop ran out {3-Spades}{Q-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Mercier checked. Woodward bet 2,800 and Mercier raised it to 8,650. Woodward called and the turn brought the {8-Clubs} Mercier shoved with the bigger stack and sent Woodward into the tank. After about four minutes, Woodward called all in for roughly 31,000 with {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, but trailed Mercier's {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Matt Woodward is eliminated. Jason Mercier has about 105,000 and is heads up with Elijah Berg.

Jaka in the Driver Seat

Faraz Jaka just took his chip lead to another level and now has Perry Horwich on the brink with just about 8,000 chips. Jaka just raised a river bet of Horwick to extract about 30,000 chips of value from him after he made a flush on the final card. Horwich had a straight and couldn't let it go. This could be back-to-back final table in NAPT High Roller events for Jaka if he can close out the deal.

Griffin Sleeping at Another Feature Table Set

Catching some Zzzzzzzzz's
Catching some Zzzzzzzzz's
As we look around the railbirds watching the action at the feature table, there's one lonely body off to the side underneath a hood catching some sleep. That person is none other than Ashton Griffin who won the NAPT Venetian High Roller Bounty Shootout. If anyone remembers our coverage from that event, they'll know that Griffin stayed up ALL night the night before and went into the final table on no sleep. He won the thing and is now sleeping on the set of another NAPT High Roller event. This time though, Griffin's just railing as he's been eliminated from the event. Maybe he's without a hotel room to go back to or maybe he's just really dedicated to watching some of his friends play. Either way, the kid's sound asleep.
