Raymond Doubles Through Saltiel

After Derrick Raymond raised from the hijack, Robert Saltiel popped it to 67,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Raymond went all in, called instantly by Saltiel.

Saltiel: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Raymond: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Saltiel was left with just 75,000. Raymond doubled to 850,000.

Bax and Rousso Battle Again

Vanessa Rousso
Vanessa Rousso
Vanessa Rousso raised from the cutoff set to 25,000. Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy called from the big blind and the two took a flop of {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs}. First up was Josephy and he checked. Rousso checked behind.

The turn card brought the {10-Spades} and Josephy passed action to the Team PokerStars Pro again. Rousso fired 25,000. A moment later, Bax check-raised to 80,000. It didn't take long for Rousso to call.

The river was the {J-Hearts} and Bax took his time before firing out 160,000. Rousso tanked for a couple minutes and then decided to let her hand go, flinging it into the muck. Losing that pot put her down to 850,000 chips while Bax moved up to one million.

Aguiar Runs Good to Double Up

With 275,000 chips in his stack, Jonathan Aguiar had an excellent-sized three-bet shoving stack. That's what he did from the button after David Fox opened with a standard raise. In the process of folding from the small blind, Scott Seiver inadvertently exposed the {K-Spades}. That couldn't have thrilled Fox, who called with {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}. Aguiar turned up {Q-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} and made the second nut flush on a board of {2-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {A-Clubs} {9-Diamonds}.

Ferguson Doubles Through Ivey

Ivey: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}
Ferguson: {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} as Ferguson flopped broadway to double to around 340,000. Ivey slips to about 430,000.

[Removed:115] Doubles

As we approach the dinner break, Vanessa Selbst tried and failed to take out [Removed:113]. Selbst opened with a standard raise, then called [Removed:115]'s all in of 168,000 more. [Removed:115] showed {A-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}, having a dominating position over Selbst's {A-Hearts} {J-Clubs}. Nobody improved, so [Removed:115] will go to dinner with a slightly healthier stack.

Bax Movin' Up, Rousso Slidin' Down

JohnnyBax

On a board of {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy checked to Vanessa Rousso. She fired 20,000 before Bax check-raised to 50,000. After a minute, Rousso made the call.

The river card was the {A-Clubs} and Bax fired four pink and white T25,000 chips for a bet of 100,000. After a couple minutes in the tank, Rousso made the call.

"Nuts," announced Bax, tabling the {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the nut straight. Rousso mucked her hand and the chips were passed to Bax. He now has 850,000 and Rousso dropped to 940,000.

Seiver Gets the Best of Terry

Scott Seiver busts Todd Terry.
Scott Seiver busts Todd Terry.
Perhaps we spoke too soon. No sooner had we finished our last post then Todd Terry took the walk to the payout desk. Scott Seiver opened his button, and Terry shoved for around 200,000 with {A-?} {8-?}. Seiver snap called with pocket fours, and the pair held up to take Terry out of the fight. Seiver moved even further into the chip lead.
