Hall Takes Big Pot from Beasley

From the button, Brandon Hall raised to 72,000. Mike Beasley called from the big blind and the two took a flop. After the {J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts} all fell, Beasley checked. Hall fired 110,000 and Beasley called.

The turn was the {8-Spades} and Beasley checked again. Hall fired 255,000 this time. After a few moments of thought, Beasley made another call.

The river was the {Q-Spades} and Beasley checked once more. Hall took his time and then fired a big bet of 458,000. Beasley wondered out loud if Hall was three-barrel bluffing him. Eventually, he folded and let Hall rake in the big pot.

Action folded to Andrew Ferguson on the button, and he moved his short stack all in. Vanessa Selbst, in the small blind, asked for a count. It totaled 204,000, and she called to put him at risk. Vanessa Rousso folded her big blind, and it was time to turn 'em up.

Showdown
Ferguson: {Q-Clubs} {3-Hearts}
Selbst: {A-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}

The board ran out: {8-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {8-Spades}, and Ferguson took his leave after the ace on the turn. He survived to the next pay jump, meaning he earns $29,000 for 14th place.

Jetten Binks River to Double through Sternberg

Peter Jetten has about 1.2 million chips after doubling through Alan Sternberg. Jetten opened for 60,000 pre-flop, with Sternberg calling from the button. Jetten fired another 115,000 on a flop of {6-Spades} {J-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}; Sternberg called again.

The turn fell {Q-Diamonds}. Jetten had only 461,000 left behind, with about that much already in the pot. He pushed all in and Sternberg quickly called. Sternberg held two pair, {Q-Clubs} {10-Clubs}; Jetten had only one pair with {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades}. But the river fell {K-Spades} to make a Broadway straight for Jetten.

"That's a good card," he dryly remarked.

Aguiar Doubles through Seiver

There are lots of chips flying around at the front table. Scott Seiver just sent 837,000 to Jonathan Aguiar. Seiver opened for 50,000, then raised all in after Aguiar three-bet the button to 140,000. Aguiar called and the cards were on their backs.

Seiver: {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}
Aguiar: {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}

The board rolled out uneventfully, {4-Hearts} {7-Spades} {2-Clubs} {8-Spades} {9-Clubs}. Aguiar doubled to 1.7 million while Seiver dropped to 1.3 million.

"And so it goes," sighed Seiver.
