Hachem Takes an Early Pot

Vanessa Rousso is back in action today for the $25,000 High Roller Bounty Shootout after finishing deep in the money last night in the Main Event here at the PokerStars.net NAPT Venetian. In this pot, she opened the action from under the gun with a raise to 550. Joe Hachem was on the button and reraised to 1,525. Rousso made the call.

The flop came down {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Rousso checked. Hachem fired 2,700. Rousso thought about it for a few minutes and then folded her hand. "What were you thinking about?" Hachem asked.

Hachem then showed the {Q-Hearts} first and Rousso said, "I had one of those."

"What a bad bet by me then," responded Hachem, turned over the {Q-Clubs} to go with it, having flopped trip queens.

Tilly Four-bets

"Punish those three-bets!" said Vanessa Rousso to Tilly, who improved her stack to 33,000.

Rousso's Check-raise Doesn't Work

Annie Duke raised the button to 550 and Vanessa Rousso called from the big blind. Duke then continuation bet the flop of {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for 750 after Rousso checked to her. Rousso made the call.

The turn card was the {J-Diamonds} and added a flush draw to the board while completing a couple straight draws. Rousso checked and Duke fired 1,150. Rousso check-raised her to 3,000. Duke then reraised, making it 8,000 to go and Rousso folded her hand.

Duke moved up to 31,000 while Rousso slipped to 14,000.
