Micah Raskin raised to 40,000 from middle position before action moved over to Matt Affleck on the button. Affleck flatted and everyone else folded. The flop came down and Raskin fired out 50,000. Affleck raised to 150,000. Raskin checked back at his hole cards and then fired all in. Affleck looked back at his cards and then called, putting himself at risk for his last 546,000 total.

Affleck's jacks were in the lead against the pair of threes that Raskin held. The turn brought the and kept Affleck in front. The river completed the board with the and Affleck gave a nice little fist pump as he earned the double up to about 1.2 million in chips. Raskin slipped down to 1.6 million.

It was another race situation and this time Mercier was ahead. The flop changed nothing and neither did the river. Katz needed to hit the last card to stay alive. The dealer burned and the river was the . Mercier's pocket fives held and Katz was eliminated from the NAPT Los Angeles.
On a flop of , the big blind checked and Christopher DeMaci bet 68,000. Ray Henson then raised to 153,000 and the big blind folded. Action was back on DeMaci and he refused to back down, making it another 104,000 to go. Henson tanked for a few mintues before folding. He is down to 570,000 while DeMaci is up to 3.25 million.
Team PokerStars Online member George Lind fired 50,000 on the flop of . Jonathan Gagnon-Villeneuve raised him to 135,000. Lind wasn't having any of that and reraised to 265,000. Gagnon-Villeneuve thought for a minute and then folded.
Gagnon-Villeneuve dropped to 1.23 million while Lind moved up to 875,000.
After the flop came down , Jimmie Guinther fired 82,000. Chris DeMaci was next to act and called. Ray Henson folded.

On the flop of , Mark Ader checked to Jason Mercier. Mercier fired 38,000 and Ader made the call. The turn brought the and both players checked to see the pair the board on the river. Ader fired out 49,000. Mercier raised to 138,000 and Ader folded.
A few hands later, Mercier and Ader got all of the money in preflop. Mercier held two fours against Ader's . The fours held for Mercier and he moved his chip stack to about 1.4 million while busting Ader from the tournament.
