Erik Cajelais
Erik Cajelais

Erik Cajelais raised from middle position before getting three-bet by Chino Rheem from the hijack seat. Cajelais called and the flop came down {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}. Cajelais checked to Rheem, who bet 1,800. Cajelais check-raised to 5,100 and Rheem called.

The turn brought the {K-Clubs} and Cajelais checked. Rheem fired 7,500 and this time there was no check-raise from Cajelais. There wasn't even a call as he folded his hand and dropped to 28,000 in chips. Rheem moved up to 132,000.

Ivey with a Flush to Double

Phil Ivey leading the way
Phil Ivey leading the way

Catching up with the action on the turn of a board reading {4-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}, Phil Ivey had raised Jean Sean's bet to 40,000. Sean reraised to 86,100 and then Ivey went all in for 101,250. It was just 15,150 more for Sean to call and he did just that.

Ivey turned over the {K-Spades}{9-Spades} for a spade flush. Sean tried to just muck his hand, but the floor ruled that he had to turn it over and revealed the {A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. He was drawing dead to Ivey as the river was dealt the {5-Spades}.

Ivey earned the big double up and now sits on about 250,000. That's good enough to be leading the way as we approach the dinner break. Sean dropped to 38,000.

His opponent tabled the {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Rheem was knocked all the way down to 21,000 in chips.

The Grinder Gets Some Back

With the board reading {2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, Sam Trickett's bet of 1,025 was called by Michael Mizrachi and another opponent. All three players checked the {9-Hearts} turn card, leading to the {4-Hearts} on the river.

Trickett checked to Mizrachi, who fired a bet of 6,200. The third player in the hand popped it to 21,000 and Trickett folded. Mizrachi took a moment before calling, showing {5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. His opponent could not beat it and Mizrachi took down the pot.

Rheemed Out

Carter Phillips just sent Chino Rheem to the rail. After Rami Shouman raised preflop, Phillips flatted behind and Rheem flatted in later position. The three of them saw the flop come down {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Shouman bet out. Phillips raised and then Rheem moved all in. Shouman folded, but Phillips made the quick call with top set of aces. Rheem held the {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} having flopped top pair and a flush draw.

The turn and river blanked for Rheem and he was sent to the rail. Phillips moved up to 140,000 in chips.
