The flop came down and Jett check-called a bet of 1,500. The hit the turn and Jett check-called once again, this time 2,400. The river came the and Jett checked for a third time. Her opponent fired 3,800 into the pot and Jett called instantly.
Her opponent mucked, surrendering the pot to Jett who slid her cards to the dealer while collecting the chips. She is up to about 40,000.
Just toward the end of Level 2, Andrew Feldman took his seat at the same table as Ori Miller. The two battled yesterday at the $25,000 High Roller Freeze-Out final table, with each doubling through the other on more than one occasion. Miller got the last laugh, sending Feldman to the rail.
It should be fun to watch the two duke it out once again during the Main Event.
Sorel Mizzi fired a pot-sized bet of 10,00 on the final board of into one opponent. That player tanked for a bit, but gave it up and Mizzi was awarded the chips. His stack looks to be about 76,000 and as of right now, he's leading the day here on Day 1b.
He will have a bit of a ways to go if he wants to catch Nicolas Chouity's Day 1a stack of 119,600, but Mizzi looks to be on the right path thus far.
With the board reading , Eric Liu had been check-raised by his opponent. Liu called and the hit the river. It was checked to Liu and he checked behind, tossing his hand to the muck when his opponent revealed for the rivered nuts.
Three players saw the flop come . Antoine Abou Khalil was first and checked. Carter Phillips fired 725 and Martin Klaeser raised to 1,825. Khalil folded and Phillips made the call.
The turn brought the and Phillips check-folded to a bet of 2,525 from Klaeser, slipping back to 24,075.
From under the gun, a player raised to 325. After a call from a player in middle position, Jennifer "Jennicide" Leigh called from the hijack seat. The button also called to make the pot four ways. The foursome saw the flop come down and action was checked by the preflop raiser. The next player fired 900 and Leigh called. The other two players folded.
Fourth street brought the and a bet of 1,250 was fired into Leigh. She thought for a bit and then made the call.
The river completed the board with the and the first player checked. Leigh seized the opportunity to fire 3,200. Her opponent made the call and Leigh mucked her hand to the player's . She dropped back to 13,000 chips.
After a player raised to 325 from early position and a playerin middle position called, Dominik Nitsche reraised to 1,175. The original raiser folded and the other player called, leaving the players heads up to the flop.
The flop came down and the first player checked. Nitsche fired in 1,300 and his opponent folded. Nitsche moved up to 22,000 chips.
With the board reading and about 7,200 in the pot, action was on Carter Phillips with a bet of 2,800 from his opponent. Phillips put the chips together for a raise, making it 7,600 to go. His opponent thought about it for a few moments, but opted to lay it down.
"Backdoor nut draw," Phillips said, showing as he took in the pot to move to about 34,000.
