Vivek Fighting Back

Vivek Rajkumar had the button, and raised to 28,000. Scott Seiver called out of the small blind, and the flop fell {j-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}. Seiver checked, Rajkumar continued for 30,000, and Seiver called.

The turn was the {10-Spades}, Seiver led for 32,000, and Rajkumar called.

The {4-Spades} completed the board, Seiver fired 60,000, and Rajkumar called. Seiver went to muck, prompting Rajkumar to show the winning hand: {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

Seiver slipped to 1.36 million chips, while Rajkumar is back up to 510,000.

Raptor is Extinct

Nick Schulman opened in the cutoff, David Benefield three-bet jammed for around 145,000 from the small blind, and Antonio Esfandiari called out of the big blind. Schulman folded.

Benefield tabled two tens with the {10-Clubs}, Esfandiari showed {k-Spades}{q-Spades}, and the flop was a doozy: {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Esfandiari made a pair, but any club or ten would give Benefield the best hand.

The turn was the {q-Hearts}, taking away one ({k-Clubs}) of Benefield's outs, and the {2-Diamonds} completed the board. Benefield was eliminated, while Esfandiari is now up to 1.15 million chips.

Rajkumar Doubles

Vivek Rajkumar open-shoved for 164,000 from under the gun, and Scott Seiver called on his direct left. The rest of the action folded, and the hands were opened:

Rajkumar: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Seiver: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}

Rajkumar was overjoyed to be flipping, and made a straight when the board came {j-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{q-Hearts}. He doubled to 335,000 chips, while Seiver dipped to 1.62 million.

Fabian Quoss opened for a raise from under the gun, Bertand "ElkY" Grospellier three-bet all in for around 120,000 from the small blind, and Quoss called.

Grospellier showed two sixes, Quoss tabled {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, and the board came {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{8-Spades}.

Grospellier hit the rail, while Quoss is up to 485,000 chips.

ElkY's Turn To Double

Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier moved all in from the under-the-gun position for 81,000 and cleared the field all the way around to Dan Shak, who made the call from the big blind.

Showdown
Grospellier: King-Ten
Shak: Pocket Threes

The {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{A-Clubs} flop was kind to Grospellier as it delivered him two pair. The {2-Spades} turn was close to what Shak needed, but not close enough. The {6-Clubs} ended up blanking on the river and Grospellier received a much-needed double.

Rajkumar Takes Two Hits

Vanessa Selbst opened to 22,000 from early position, and four players called including Vivek Rajkumar (middle position), Scott Seiver (hijack seat), Phil Ivey (button), and David "Doc" Sands (big blind).

The flop fell {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, and the action checked to Rajkumar who fired 75,000. Only Seiver called. The turn was the {10-Hearts}, Rajkumar checked, and Seiver tossed out 175,000. Rajkumar tank-called.

The river was a third heart - the {7-Hearts} - and Rajkumar checked again. Seiver cut out 375,000, then tossed it forward. Rajkumar instantly folded, later claiming that he knew that Seiver had hearts.

A few hands later, Sands opened to 27,000 in the cutoff. Rajkumar three-bet to 90,000 from the big blind, Sands four-bet to 157,000, and Rajkumar moved all in for effectively 515,000.

Sands instantly called.

Sands: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Rajkumar: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, and Sands doubled to over one million chips. Rajkumar now has only 250,000.

Perkins Doubles Through Seiver

A short-stacked Bill Perkins raised to 30,000 from early position and was met by a three-bet to 70,000 from Scott Seiver in the cutoff. The rest of the field got out of the way and Perkins moved all in for 243,000. Seiver made a quick call and once again it was a race situation.

Showdown
Seiver: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Perkins: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

“Wow, I guess I’m stone dead,” Seiver laughed when the {9-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} flop hit Perkins and gave him the nut redraw. The {8-Spades} gave Seiver pause as it delivered him a gut-shot straight draw to a non-diamond ten, but the {6-Spades} river was not what he was looking for.

Negreanu Sends Reinkemeier To The Rail

Daniel Negreanu opened for 27,000 from the hijack and cleared the field to Tobias Reinkemeier, who moved all in for around 220,000 from the big blind. Negreanu made the call and it was off to the races:

Showdown
Reinkemeier: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Negreanu: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

It was a flip, but Reinkemeier was the one who needed to improve. He didn’t do it on the {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop, nor on the {K-Clubs} turn. That meant he needed either an ace or a queen on the river to stay alive, but the {7-Clubs} was not it. Negreanu was pushed the pot while Reinkemeier sought consolation from Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree on the rail.

Adams' Day Is Done

It’s hard to get all the details from the final table, but we managed to get a few surrounding the elimination of Timothy Adams.

We do know Nick Schulman opened from the hijack and received calls from Adams and Steve O’Dwyer on the button and big blind respectively. O’Dwyer then checked the flop, which contained a jack and two hearts, and Schulman bet. Adams raised to 103,000, O’Dwyer folded, and Schulman moved all in. Adams called and the cards were turned up.

Showdown
Adams: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Schulman: Pocket Jacks

Adams held the nut-flush draw, which he needed to hit to overcome the flopped set of Schulman. Unfortunately for Adams, neither the {A-Clubs} turn nor {10-Diamonds} completed it and he was sent packing.
