Waters Wipeout

Craig Waters Eliminated
Craig Waters Eliminated
Craig Waters potted from under the gun, Roy Bhasin re-potted and Waters called for the last of his chips.

Waters held a versatile {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} as Bhasin once again turn up the rockets with {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

The board of {5-Hearts}{K-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs} looked good for Waters to find another double-up, but the {A-Spades} spiked on the river to eliminate him from the tournament. Bhasin is back up to 182,000 chips.

Smooth Waters

The short stack of the field, Craig Waters, has just found a nice double-up through Koray Turker.

Waters raised all in from under the gun with {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Turker called with a strong {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{2-Clubs}{J-Clubs}.

However Waters flopped a full house as the board ran out {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Waters is now up to 25,000.

McNamara Doubles Through Bhasin

Anthony McNamara popped it up to 6,000 before Roy Bhasin potted it to 20,000. The blinds folded and McNamara moved all in. Bhasin made the call.

McNamara: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Bhasin: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and McNamara actually made jacks and fives to collect the pot about double up to about 85,000. Bhasin is back to 160,000.

A Speedy Exit

Roy Bhasin raised it up to 4,000 before Jason Speedy reraised it to 15,000. Bhasin re-potted which was enough to put Speedy all in.

Bhasin had picked up aces again with {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{5-Spades} against Speedy's {K-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}.

The board fell {4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{A-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades} giving Bhasin a set and yet another pot to send Speedy to the rail. Bhasin is now well in front with about 203,000.

Kambouris Runs Into Aces and Aces

Antonis Kambouris Out
Antonis Kambouris Out
A big three-way all-in confrontation saw Roy Bhasin put his two opponents, Antonis Kambouris and Con Tsapkounis both at risk of elimination:

Bhasin: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Tsapkounis: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Kambouris: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{9-Hearts}

Amazingly both Bhasin and Tsapkounis showed aces in the hole as the board fell harmlessly as {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} to end the day for Kambouris as his opponents chopped up the pot.

Ewing Exits

David Ewing limped from late position before Antonis Kambouris popped it up to 9,000. Koray Turker then re-potted from the cutoff. The blinds folded and Ewing moved all in as Kambouris stepped aside.

Ewing: {J-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-?}{7-?}
Turker: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

The board fell {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} giving Turker quads to jump up to 100,000 and sending Ewing to the rail.
