Bhasin Eliminates Two; Moves to 150K

Roy Bhasin -- Chip Monger
Roy Bhasin -- Chip Monger
Roy Bhasin has just knocked out both Chris Green and Michael Russell in the same hand and he now sits with 150,000 in chips, alone atop the leaderboard.

The hand saw both Green and Russell limp into the pot preflop. Koray Turker completed the bet from the small blind and when the action landed on Bhasin in the big, he raised the size of the pot. Green then opted to move all in, as did Russell, and Turker folded his hand straight away. Bhasin made the call in the big and a showdown ensued:

Green: {K-Clubs} {K-Spades} {Q-Spades} {5-Hearts}
Russell: {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {7-Spades}
Bhasin: {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {2-Clubs}

The board then filled out {3-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {3-Spades} {A-Hearts} {2-Hearts} giving Bhasin two pair, aces and threes, to take down the pot, subsequently sending Green and Russell to the rail.

Jimmy Siu Eliminated
Jimmy Siu Eliminated
Jimmy Siu bet the flop, the turn was checked and on the river Siu's bet was check-raised by Paul Triandafillou. The board read {J-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Spades} as Siu made the call and showed down {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for a queen-high straight but found himself bettered by Triandafillou's {3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for the king-high straight.

Siu was sent to the exit as Triandafillou now sits behind 70,000 chips.

Tsapkounis Collects Nice Pot

Con Tsapkounis
Con Tsapkounis
David Ewing raised to 3,200 from under the gun with three players making the call.

They took a {2-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop where the action checked around. The turn was the {7-Clubs} where Ewing checked to Antonis Kambouris, who fired out 3,600. Michael Russell folded and the action was with Con Tsapkounis, who decided to re-pot it. This forced Ewing and Kambouris out of the pot as Tsapkounis took down a healthy pot without a showdown to jump up to 45,000 chips.
