Hard Work

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

2015 Western New York Poker Challenge Event #6 champ Dave Lisacchi has been working a nub most of the day.

But just moments ago he finally pushed over the 100,000-chip mark to begin a late run here on Day 1b.

All it took was getting it all-in preflop against a shorter stack with fives versus aces an spiking a set to crack 'em.

Durante Done

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 100 ante
Dennis Durante
Dennis Durante

Dennis Durante three-bet shoved his last 15,000 into the pot preflop with the {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} and the original raiser called with the {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}. The {7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} board gave Durante a set but his opponent turned a straight to send Durante to the rail.

The Champ Takes a Walk

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 100 ante
Nick Walker
Nick Walker

There will be a new champion here at the 2015 Western New York Poker Challenge Main Event. Nick Walker got short and shoved his last five big big blinds with {8-}{7-} and got two callers. Both players checked the {Q-}{Q-}{J-} flop, but then one led out for 5,000 on the {J-} turn. The other player folded, and Walker saw he was drawing dead against a full house.

The title is up for grabs. Who wants it?

Pfeifer On 200-Plus

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Randy Pfeiffer
Randy Pfeiffer

Kyle Gauchat bet 7,000 into a pot of about 9,000 on an {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop. Randy Pfiefer raised it up big and Gauchat called all in with {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

Pfeifer had a pair and a flush draw holding {a-Spades}{5-Spades} and had to be considered the statistical favorite despite being behind. The {7-Clubs} turn changed little, but the {a-Diamonds} river changed it all, making Pfeifer two pair and sending Gauchat home early.

Pfeifer is now the second player past the 200,000-chip post

Nablo Rivers a Boat

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

On a flop of {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}, Jason Nablo checked and Carol Leonardi bet 3,100. She got two callers, including Nablo.

The turn brought the {5-Diamonds} and this time Nablo took the initiative with a bet of 4,300. Leonardi and the other player called, bringing the {J-Hearts} on the river. Nablo fired 14,300, Leonardi folded, and the other player called.

Nablo tabled {j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for jacks full of sixes and scooped a nice pot to join the leaders.
