Tyler Yates was already growing his stack into one of the biggest in the room when he was seen stacking chips from another recently won pot.
According to Yates and the table, he devoured the stack of his most recent opponent when that opponent shoved somewhere around 30,000 into Yates' aces while holding ace-jack.
Yates held up and finds himself near the top of the leaderboard.
Action picked up just before the flop after Jordan Lowery and Aaron Johnson traded a few raises to get all the chips in the middle, about 30,000 each, with Lowery at risk.
Jordan Lowery:
Aaron Johnson:
In the coinflip, Lowery found a favorable board when the ran out to flip his and Johson's stack sizes.
Josh Reichard is in the field. Sitting right next to Dan Bekavac, Reichard is currently atop the MSPT season 13 points leaderboard and leading Bekavac by 50 points.
"I'm not salty," said a seemingly less than truthful Bekavac.
A player in early position moved all in for 27,500, about 23 big blinds. On the button, Greg Dyer was interested. After some thought, he made the call.
At-risk opponent:
Greg Dyer:
"I don't like seeing those queens," said Dyer.
His ace-queen looked a lot more hopeful on the flop. Dyer then drilled the on the turn to leave his opponent drawing to chop outs. The river sealed the deal and Dyer took down the pot.
