Day 3 Started
The culmination of three starting flights and a second day begins today at 12:00 at Venetian Las Vegas Nevada. A massive starting field of 1,644 players, that created a prizepool of $2,347,000, has been brought down to just ten players, each looking to claim The Mid-States Poker Tour $1,600 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event at Venetian Las Vegas Nevada title as their own. Each player has locked up $36,780 with the end goal being set on the first place prize of $360,670.
After an explosive Day 2, Yulia Lisichkina leads the final two tables with 12,575,000. The Russian-born player has already secured her best life-time cash up until this point, and has put herself in prime position to make the final table of this event.
The only former MSPT champion returning today is Angelina Rich who comes in with 3,125,000. Rich won the $1,100 MSPT at Venetian in 2015 for $304,386. Rich sits down as sixth in chips as well as one of two women returning out of the final ten. Only 15 players have ever won two or more events, and today Rich is looking to make it 16.
Fehim Hajdari (8,575,000) and Shea Quintin (6,125,000) round out the podium chip counts, with Matthew Sabia (4,600,000), Jack O’Neill (3,600,000), Kevin Ayow (2,875,000), Hien Nguyen (2,800,000), Rohan Dhuper (2,625,000) and Rickey Evans (1,900,000) all looking for MSPT glory and will return for their shot at the title.
