Bazeley Accumulating

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

A player in middle position limped in and Jacob Bazeley made it 1,500 to go from late position. It was folded back to the limper who made the call. The flop came {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades} and the limper quickly check-folded to a Bazeley bet. After the hand, Bazeley was sitting with more than double the starting stack with 52,000 in chips.

Ho Done For The Day

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

We saw Maria Ho talking to the floor staff and she relayed her bust out hand to us. "I had {A-}{A-} on a {4-}{2-}{2-}{3-} board against David Baker and he had {4-}{4-}. I wasn't getting away from that hand against him," she said.

Ho will be back to give it another go tomorrow.

Colvin Doubles

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

We arrived to find Matthew Colvin all in and at risk for his last 16,350 against a lone opponent on a {5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop. Colvin's opponent called and the hands were turned over.

Colvin: {K-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Opponent: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}

Colvin's opponent had the lead with his pair of eights, but Colvin was drawing live heading to the following streets. The {A-Hearts} rolled off on the turn, sealing the deal for Colvin with the nut flush. The board finished with the {K-Clubs} and Colvin was shipped the double up. He's now sitting on about 38,000.

Vaillancourt Climbing

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Noah Vaillancourt and an opponent took a monotone flop of {Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}. Vaillancourt checked, his opponent fired, 2,000, and Vaillancourt called to see fourth street.

The dealer produced the {J-Clubs} on the turn and Vaillancourt checked for a second time. His opponent knuckled the table back, allowing the {8-Spades} to complete the board. Vaillancourt checked, his opponent checked it back once more, and Vaillancourt tabled {K-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a king-high flush. His opponent mucked and Vaillancourt picked up the pot.

Vaillancourt's stack now sits around 82,000.

Small One For Cheong

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

A middle positioned player opened to 1,200 and found calls from Joseph Cheong in the small blind as well as the player in the big blind.

The three watched as {K-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} hit the felt. Cheong and the big blind checked, allowing the original raiser to continued for 1,800. Cheong stuck around and the big blind folded. The two were heads up to the {2-Spades} turn, where two checks prompted the dealer to finish the board with the {7-Clubs}.

Cheong checked for a third time and his opponent followed suit. Cheong rolled over a winning {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and took down the pot.

Set Over Set For Holsonback

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

We get to the table with the chips flying into the middle on a flop of {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}. John Holsonback moved all in for approximately 25,000 total over the top of a raise and a call. Both players made the call creating a main pot of close to 90,000.

The turn was the {A-Spades} and the remaining two players checked.

The river was the {2-Clubs} and the player in Seat Two checked. His opponent, however, did not, as he moved all in for his last 38,800. After a few moments of thought the player in Seat Two folded and his opponent proudly turned over {9-}{9-} for a flopped set of nines. To his dismay, however, Holsonback had also flopped a set and it was one notch higher than his as he had {10-}{10-} for a set of tens.

"Not a bad pot," said table mate Brandon Steven as Holsonback stacked his newly acquired chips. He was up to approximately 90,000 after the hand.
