Rogers Soars Into the Lead

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

A big pot was brewing in the middle of the room and only the flop has been laid out on the felt. With around 35,000 already in the middle, the flop fell {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades}. The big blind led out for 6,500 and a player in middle position raised to 24,000. Mike Rogers flat-called on the button and the big blind shipped all in for 130,300. The player in middle position also pushed all in for around 85,000.

The decision was up to Rogers and he thought for a couple of minutes before asking for a count. Eventually, the clock was called and Rogers wasted no more time by making the call. The big blind turned over {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} but was behind the short stack's {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Rogers had both players covered and tabled {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

The turn was the {j-Diamonds} which gave the big blind some more outs, but the {7-Hearts} on the river was exactly what Rogers was looking for. "Heart!" he yelled across the room with his arms in the air. Rogers eliminated both players and moved into an overwhelming chip lead.

Holiman Busts Saechao in Big Pot

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 300 ante

On a flop of {3-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, Brady Holiman had about 25,000 in front of him on the button and was facing a shove from Kao Saechao in the cutoff worth 34,000 more. Holiman didn't seem pleased but put in calling chips.

Kao Saechao: {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Brady Holiman: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Holiman was happy to see he was good, and the {a-Spades} turn and {a-Diamonds} river kept him that way.

"Swear, I thought he had jacks," Holiman said after Saechao walked away.

Pham Busts a Short Stack

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 300 ante

The action folded around to the button who limped in and the small blind shipped all in for 6,100. David Pham called from the big blind and the button called as well.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Pham led out for 6,500. The button called and the {9-Clubs} landed on the turn. Pham fired another 8,000 and the button let his hand go, giving Pham the side pot. Pham turned over {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and was up against the {8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} in the small blind. The river was the {k-Hearts} and Pham scooped the main pot as well to climb into six figures.

In the Window for Banghart

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 300 ante
Jeff Banghart
Jeff Banghart

After a raise to 3,600 from early position, Jeff Banghart three-bet to 10,500 in the cutoff. The action was back on the preflop raiser who thought for a minute before shipping all in for around 25,000. Banghart quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Jeff Banghart: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

It was a coin flip but the {j-Spades} in the window quickly put a smile on Banghart's face. It was followed by the {6-Clubs} and {4-Hearts} which left his opponent drawing slim. The {2-Clubs} on the turn sealed the deal and the {8-Hearts} on the river was just a formality.

Keating Tests the Field

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 300 ante

Six players saw a {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop and the blinds checked to Alex Keating, who bet 7,000 in early position, which looked to be about half the size of the pot. A player in the cutoff made it 14,000. Patrick Eskandar tanked awhile and folded on the button, the blinds followed suit and Keating quickly released.
