Massey Extends Lead at New Table

Matt Newcombe opened to 27,000 and received a call from Aaron Massey in the big blind who was still in the process of stacking his chips out of their racks after moving tables.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{A-Hearts} and Massey checked. Newcombe fired 23,000 and Massey stared at the board for a moment before calling.

The {J-Spades} came on fourth street and both players checked. The {3-Clubs} fell on fifth and they both checked once again. Newcombe showed {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts} but was behind Massey's {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}. Massey dragged in the pot and found a way to add the new chips to his already massive stack.

Not familiar with Aaron Massey? Our very own Sarah Grant caught up with him during the last break to get to know him a little better. Take a look:

More For Hall

Justin Gardenhire opened to 20,000 from the hijack and was called by Joseph Hall on the button.

The flop fell {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Gardenhire fired a continuation bet of 26,000. A call from Hall landed the {Q-Clubs} turn which Gardenhire bet 32,000 at. Hall, though, put in a raise to 97,000.

After about 30 seconds in the tank, Gardenhire gave it up.

Cardner Doubles With Set

With a little under 200,000 already in the pot, we found Patricia Cardner heads up in a pot and looking down at a flop of {6-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Cardner's opponent checked and she fired 100,000 into the middle. Her opponent quickly raised enough to put her all in and she snapped him off with {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. Her opponent meekly tabled {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}.

The board completed with the {7-Diamonds} and she was able to take down the pot and double through for 297,000 total. She's currently sitting on a stack of roughly 775,000.

Massey Puts the Pressure on Lowery

Aaron Massey opened to 26,000 from the cutoff and Daniel Lowery called on the button.

The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Massey checked. Lowery bet 30,000 before Massey clicked it back to 60,000. A call from Lowery landed the {Q-Diamonds} on the turn where Massey went all in. Lowery took a few moments before folding.

Sands Of Time

Action folded to David "Doc" Sands on the button who raised to 20,000. Joseph Hall three-bet the action from the small blind to 49,000 and after a series of additional raises, Sands was all in and at risk holding {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs} against Hall's {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}.

Sands was in need of help and found exactly that on the {J-Clubs}{A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} flop. The {8-Clubs} turned and the {Q-Clubs} rivered and Sands was able to score a double up that boosted him to around 1,000,000 in chips.
