Gill Gets a Chunk Taken

Carter Gill raises under the gun to 1,800. The button reraises to 4,100. Gill declares, "I'm too short to fold," and moves all in. The button quickly calls. Gill shows {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and the button shows {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}.

The flop comes {9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Gill fails to get any help. The dealer puts the {5-Diamonds} out for the turn and the {J-Hearts} out for the river and Gill's pair fails to improve.

Gill loses a little over 10,000 on the hand and is knocked down to 5,400.

Esposito Continues His Comeback

Lou Esposito just won a nice pot against an unknown player. The flop of {7-Spades}{K-Spades}{9-Spades} was checked by both players. The turn was the {3-Hearts}. Esposito bet 1,600 and his opponent raised to 4,000. Esposito called. The river was the {10-Clubs}. Esposito checked to his opponent, who bet 5,000. Esposito made the call. Esposito showed {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for a pair of kings and his opponent showed {A-Spades}{7-Hearts}.

Shortly after, Esposito took down a pot worth approximately 10,000 with K-K. After the two hands, Esposito moved up to approximately 50,000 in chips.

Sartori Stumbles

Tom Sartori certainly isn't shying away from the action in the levels following the dinner break. In a recent pot, Matt Sterling raises the action to 1,800, and Rob Quin makes the call. Sartori is next to act, and he puts in a reraise, making it 5,000 to play. Sterling folds, but Quin sticks around to see a flop of {K-Hearts}{10-Spades}{J-Hearts}.

In an act of aggression, Quin comes out firing with his whole stack, shoving 18,000 in chips into the pot, and putting himself at risk of elimination. Sartori thinks for just a few brief moments before calling the bet. His {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} gives him top pair, top kicker, but he is in trouble against the {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}, making a set of jacks for Rob Quin. The turn and river, {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, fail to help Sartori, and Quin doubles up to around 50,000. Sartori is hurting, down under 20,000.

Engel Eliminates Crawford

Alan "BodogAri" Engel
Alan "BodogAri" Engel
Alan "BodogAri" Engel is up against Claudia Crawford, as both players get it all in preflop. Crawford is the one at risk for elimination. Engel has {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} versus Crawford's {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.

The board comes {5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Crawford fails to improve and is eliminated. Only two women now remain in the field -- Anita Vasquez and Beverly Cheney.

Engel improves to 32,000 in chips.

Jonathan Little Survives All-in

In a pot that already sat at 13,000 preflop, Jonathan Little reraised all in for 8,500 more. An unknown player tanked for about two minutes before making the call. Little flipped over {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and his opponent tabled {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. The board helped neither player, so Little's all-in move resulted in a chopped pot.

Vasquez Takes a Big Pot

Jonathan Little raises to 1,700 from two off of the button. The big blind, Anita Vasquez, calls and then checks in the dark.

The flop comes {J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Little also checks.

The turn is the {8-Diamonds} and Vasquez leads out for 2,000. Little calls.

The river is the {10-Hearts} and Vasquez bets 3,000. Little calls and Vasquez shows {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. Her hand is good and Vasquez now sits at 60,000.
