Blanchard Calls Flop, Fires Turn

Level 22 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Dwyte Pilgrim and D.J. Blanchard saw the flop of {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} together. Pilgrim was up first and bet 37,000 into his opponent. Blanchard stuck around by making the call.

The dealer placed the {7-Clubs} on fourth street and Pilgrim slowed down with a check. Blanchard went for some chips and fired out 76,000. Pilgrim mulled it over for a little bit and then folded, giving Blanchard the pot.

How Wide is Your Range, Son?

Level 22 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Dwyte Pilgrim

Tim West opened to 24,000 before Dwyte Pilgrim three-bet shoved. When it came back to West, Pilgrim started talking.

"I hope it's wide, Tim. I just hope your range is wide, son."

West told Pilgrim he had a pocket pair, but he eventually folded what he said was a pair of fours and let Pilgrim take it right there.

Pilgrim Fires the River

Level 22 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Action moved to Dwyte Pilgrim and he raised to 25,000. David Peters made the call in the next seat and everyone folded before the flop came down {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. Both players checked.

The turn was the {4-Clubs} and both players checked again to see the {Q-Diamonds} fall on the river. Pilgrim bet 80,000 and Peters gave it up.

Peters Calls and Bets

Level 22 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Dwyte Pilgrim has been a bit quieter than usual today, both in voice and in chip movement. We pick up the last pot as he makes an opening raise to 24,000 from the hijack seat. He found calls from David Peters (cutoff), Ali Eslami (button), and Tim West (big blind), and it was four ways to the flop.

When the dealer put out {8h {5-Diamonds} {4-Spades}, one bet of 55,000 from Peters was enough to take it down right there.

Ten More

Level 22 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Ali Eslami
Ali Eslami

David Peters limped in dark from the small blind, and Ali Eslami mini-raised to 20,000 to build a little pot. Peters called.

The two men checked through the {Q-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {7-Spades} flop, and the {4-Clubs} drew a bet of 10,000 from Peters, Eslami called there, and he called another, "Ten more," on the {6-Clubs} river. At showdown, it looked like Peters tabled two nines, but Eslami's {10-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} was good enough to earn the pot.

Brecher Sits on Aces

Level 22 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Steve Brecher
Steve Brecher

David Peters raised to 23,000 to open the pot, and he found one customer as Steve Brecher came along with the call from the small blind.

The two men took a {6-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} flop, and it check-checked to the {Q-Diamonds} turn. Peters took his cue to make a delayed continuation bet of 30,000, and Brecher quickly check-raised all in. Just as quickly, Peters called the 115,000, and Brecher was at risk as the cards were turned up.

Showdown
Brecher: {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts}
Peters: {Q-Hearts} {10-Spades}

Peters was drawing to an eight, ten, or queen, but the river {3-Clubs} was a blank.

That allows Brecher to earn the much-needed double up, pushing him back to 293,000.

Eslami Flops Top

Level 22 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Under the gun, D.J. Blanchard raised to 23,000, and both blinds (David Peters and Ali Eslami) called to see a flop.

It came {J-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {5-Clubs}, and Peters took the betting lead with 40,000 of his own chips. Eslami made the call, Blanchard ducked out, and it was heads up to the turn. It was the {10-Diamonds}, and both players checked, and Peters bet another 45,000 on the {10-Hearts} river. Eslami called.

Peters tabled {6-Diamonds} {6-Spades} for tens and sixes, but Eslami's {Q-Hearts} {J-Spades} had that beat, earning him the pot.
