Deeb Gets Some Back

Ryan Gentry raised under the gun to 62,000, and it folded around to the blinds. Both Freddy Deeb and Joe Kuether came along, and the three saw a flop of {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. It was checked around, and the {2-Hearts} hit the river. This time, Deeb cut out a bet of 85,000, and slid it into the middle. Kuether thought for about 20 seconds before folding, and Gentry thought for about the same time, before also releasing his hand, giving the pot to Deeb.

Kuether Takes Another From Deeb

Freddy Deeb raised preflop to 50,000 from middle position and was called by Joe Kuether to his immediate left. The flop was {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Deeb continued for 105,000. Kuether made the call.

The turn was the {5-Spades} and Deeb slowed down with a check. Kuether thought for a bit before sliding out 145,000. Deeb had the dealer count it and mulled over his decision before kicking in his cards.

Deeb Three-Bets

Level 26 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

David Funkhauser opened the action with a raise to 51,000 before Freddy Deeb three-bet him to 151,000. Funkhauser thought over his options for a little while before opting to fold.

Most hands at this stage of the tournament have resulted in pots being taken down preflop.

Deeb Keeps Climbing

Freddy Deeb raised it up in early position to 52,000, and Ty Spires was the only caller on the button. The flop came down {q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts}, and Deeb led out for 60,000. Spires quickly called, and the turn came the {4-Diamonds}. Deeb thought for over a minute before assembling a bet of 180,000. This time, Spires took little time in folding, and Deeb collected the pot to get back up over 700,000.

Plache Shoves On Funkhauser

Action folded to David Funkhauser in the cutoff, and he raised to 53,000. Stephen Plache was next to act, and he went all in for 244,000. It folded back around to Funkhauser, who thought for just a few moments before releasing his hand, giving the pot to Plache, who is still sitting on the short stack.

Deeb Squeezes

Ty Spires raised to 60,000 in middle position. Stephen Plache, who had about 350,000 to start the hand, made the call, as did Chris Cronin who began the hand with 335,000. Freddy Deeb was in the small blind position and thought for awhile before announcing a raise to 360,000.

Spires quickly folded while Plache hit the tank. Eventually, he folded and it became Cronin's turn to think about it. After some thought, he slid in all of his chips, which were not enough to meet Deeb's raise.

Cronin: {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Deeb: {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

Everyone chuckled a bit when Deeb revealed his hand, including Deeb who was happy to be in such good shape. The flop was {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} and he improved even more. However, the {6-Hearts} turn changed the tides and left him drawing thin. The {9-Clubs} river brought each player a nine-high strait and the pot was chopped up.
