Day 2 Wraps Up with Jeremy Drewery Holding Huge Lead
Day 2 of the WSOPC IP Biloxi Main Event has wrapped up for the day and only 12 players remain of the 173 runners that started the day. Jeremy Drewery leads the field with 1.524 million after hitting a sick run in the last two levels of the night.
Chasing Drewery are Michael Nazzerazad (851,00), Ronnie Sewell (697,000) and Bill Phillips (680,000). Russell Ivey (302,000) is also returning, looking to add precious points on the WSOPC National Leaderboard.
Day 2 proved to be tough for the returning notables with John Dolan, Kathy Liebert, Allen Kessler, Andy Philachack, “The Captain” Tom Franklin and Kyle Cartwright all eliminated before the money bubble.
On the very last hand of the evening with most of the remaining players counting their stacks a giant hand developed. A million chip pot brewed when Mark Eddleman and Drewery got their big stacks all in preflop. Eddleman held pocket kings and Drewery had pocket queens. The board ran , eliminating Eddleman and handing Drewery a massive chip lead over the field.
During the late hours of the tournament players and spectators alike all had an eye on the Main Event action on ESPN2.
The field trimmed itself at an incredible pace, over half the field was eliminated after just four levels. The field hit the money bubble just after returning from dinner break.
