Day 1a of the WSOPC Biloxi Main Event has come to a close with 120 remaining players. The start of the day saw 219 players pony up the $1,600 buy in. Charlie Leroi ends play as the Day 1a chipleader with 128,000. He's followed closely by Greg Whitworth (85,500) and Stan James (83,000).
Allen Kessler and Matthew Chang were only a couple of the notables that survived the action and will move on to Day 2.
Notables did not fair well today. Many of them hit the rail including: Dwyte Pilgrim, John Dolan, Kathy Liebert, Chris Tryba, Matthew Waxman, Kyle Cartwright, Ryan Lenaghan and Jacob Bazely.
The surviving players will combine for Day 2, along with the remaining players from Day 1b. Day 1b will have cards in the air at 7 p.m. CST and Day 2 will get underway at noon on Sunday.

The clock has hit zero and the players are bagging and tagging for Day 2.
Tournament officials have broken the ten or so tables that started on the far side of the room to one section. The field is spread across 15 tables and we believe 130 players remain of the 219 that started the day.
We caught up to see Chris Tryba contemplating a call of his opponent's all in for 18,200. The board read and the call would have been for a majority of Tryba's stack.
Eventually Tryba smacked his chips down quickly and announced a call, tabling . However, he was way behind his opponents two pair with . The river came the and Tryba was knocked down to about 5,000 in chips.

We came upon the action to see Kathy Liebert call a players all in. Liebert held and was ahead of her opponent's .
The board ran out and Libert's tens were able to hold. She sent her opponent toward the rail and boosted her stack to about 25,500.
