Childs has just taken his first bullet, joining our field here in the Main Event with his 20,000-chip starting stack.
These include a new addition to the chip counts, WSOPC perennial doer-well, Kyle Cartwright.
Cartwright won three rings in a two-month period during the last season, and he's back looking for another one this week in Palm Beach.

Well, we're not sure we've ever seen this one before.
A few moments ago, we heard quick whispers from the tournament staff that they'd be pausing the clock for two minutes during the middle of the level. It's not a break, but we do need to show some respect for the National Anthem.
There is a full-throated gentleman out on the dog track running through The Star Spangled Banner as we speak, and play has been halted to give the man an audience.
It's the land of the free and the home of the brave, and we're back to playing this great American game once again. It looks like the greyhound races are set to begin for the day, as well, and the nearly empty Palm Beach Kennel Club has suddenly filled in with weekend warriors looking for a Trifecta.

We just spotted 2010 November Niner John Dolan at the table in the far corner of the room a few moments ago.
Then, we were getting coffee at the bar — for the sake of you and us both — and Dolan came traipsing past us with his backpack on his shoulders and a bit of a frown on his face. A quick check on his former table finds that Dolan has indeed been eliminated from this Day 1a flight.
