More for Marshall

John Song opened in the cutoff, Cary Marshall called on the button, and the flop was the {k-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Song led for 120,000, Marshall called, and the turn was the {7-Hearts}.

Song checked, Marshall said, "same bet," tossing out 120,000, and Song called.

The {8-Clubs} completed the board, Song checked again, and Marshall fired 250,000.

Song tanked for a very long time, and eventually folded. Marshall mucked the winner, and picked up the pot.

Deng Flops the World

John Deng opened in early position, Derrick Yamada called in the hijack seat, and the flop came {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{7-Hearts}. Deng check-called 65,000 from Yamada, and the turn brought the {a-Diamonds}. Deng led for 100,000. Yamada min-raised to 200,000, Deng moved all in for 605,000, and Yamada went into the tank.

He sat back in his chair with his arms crossed, studying both the board and Deng. He eventually slid forward enough chips to call.

Deng: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Yamada: {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Deng flopped a full house, but Yamada could make the best hand with an ace, jack, or ten. The river was the {8-Spades} however, and Deng doubled.

Baskin: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Dick Hanley Eliminated in 8th Place ($16,483)

Dick Hanley - 8th Place
Dick Hanley - 8th Place

Jesse Rockowitz opened to 60,000 from early position, Ping Liu three-bet jammed on the button, and Dick Hanley called all in from the big blind. Rockowitz quickly folded, and the hands were tabled.

Liu: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Hanley: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

The flop fell {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, giving Hanley a backdoor flush draw, and the {7-Spades} on the turn kept that draw alive.

It was not to be however as the {10-Diamonds} completed the board, giving Liu a full house for kicks and giggles, and eliminating Hanley from the Main Event.
