Disappointing Chop For Diaz

David Diaz made it 1,000 from the cutoff and received calls from both the small and big blinds. The flop was {K-Clubs}{J-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and there were two checks to Diaz. He continued for 1,700 and the small blind called. The big blind got out of the way and the duo saw the {10-Diamonds} strike the turn. Another check prompted 3,500 from Diaz and he received yet another call.

The {7-Spades} rivered and Diaz's opponent sat thinking for a moment.

"All-in," he said.

"Call!" snapped back Diaz, showing {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for the nut straight. Unfortunately for Diaz, his opponent also rolled up {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and the two were forced to chop the pot.

"Why didn't you three-bet?" he shouted at Diaz. "Diaz didn't three-bet me!"

Diaz laughed.

"I folded an ace," he said.

Nicholson threw his hand into the muck, then stormed away from the table.
