Giesbrecht Sitting Pretty

We caught up to find a player all in and at risk against Sean Giesbrecht with the flop reading {K-Clubs}{5-Spades}{Q-Clubs}.

Giesbrecht held {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for bottom set and was out in front against his opponent's {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for top and bottom pair. The turn was the {3-Clubs} and the river the {A-Clubs}- ensuring that Giesbrecht earned the knockout. With that win he's currently sitting on almost double starting stack with about 39,000 in chips.

Ruocco and Affleck Clash Again

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

After having a relatively large confrontation earlier in the day, we found Matt Affleck and Vince Ruocco engaged in a hand together once again. The flop was {Tc]{K-Spades}{A-Clubs} and Affleck check-called a bet of 250.

The turn was the {J-Hearts} and Affleck checked again. Ruocco fired 500 and Affleck stuck around. Both players tapped the table on the {3-Clubs} river and ended the action.

"Jack," said Affleck.

Ruocco rolled over {K-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for a pair of kings and took down the pot.

Update From a Stacked Table

Large field tournaments always seem to have one outstanding table draw with several big names seated together and today is no different. Jason Koon, Matt Jarvis, and Adam Levy are all seated at the same table and we stumbled upon a hand where Jarvis was able to scoop up a small amount of chips.

The player under the gun plus one raised to 400 and Jarvis called from the button. Levy stuck around from the small blind and the trio saw a flop of {2-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. It checked all of the way around to Jarvis' button and he fired 650. Levy folded quickly and the original raiser shook his head and released his cards, awarding Jarvis the pot.

No Luongo Here

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Going into today, many were excited as Vancouver Canucks goalie was slated to play in today's Main Event. Unfortunately, due to hockey related duties, Luongo will no longer be around to participate in the big one.

Luongo was around for a significant portion of the series, however, playing the first two events. Luongo made it past the dinner break in both events but busted shortly after both times.
